Pakistan Govt likely to raise petrol prices by 25.5 litre

Wasnt IK the one saying that he will bring down the oil mafia? And pass on the benefit of lowered prices to common people by reducing fares and prices? He failed to do that. He is just that: a fraud and a failure. The govt reduced the prices very late, but jacked them up the first chance that they got. This will add fuel to the fire of rising inflation.

May Allah's lanat be on him and his party.

I can't believe people are still defending him

Disgraceful

Petrol price should be 150 or 200 rupees per liter it would reduce oil imports and pollution bhi Kam hogi

I agree. Infact, it should be around 250-300 rupees per liter.

People should buy/ride bicycles and be healthy.

.

On June 01, 2020 crude was around USD 35.44 and ,today it is USD 38.49. How is it a sharp rise?

The way government is working we might not have petrol when crude goes about USD 70/Bbl

Good.

Pakistanis have money to buy cars but cry when cars become expensive. They have money to buy petrol but cry when it becomes few rupees expensive. But all these Pakistanis can't pay income tax.

Bicycle na bhi chalain at least tax to ziada collect hoga phir bhi mulk ka hi faida ha

when tbey decreased oil price then they said that they bought oil when price was high so they cant lower iy down and now how the hell they increase price without a second thought 21 diesel . thats huge amount 25 petrol . thats disappointed

Perhaps government forgot to buy the crude when it was cheap. Perhaps government wants someone to benefit.

Our problems is claims such as these.

When the time came they turned out to be even bigger cheaters then the previous ones.

we know when during petrol shortage it was sold to public in black at high price so stop ignorance and your lies, you not represent all public,i have not said that no one benefited from this but it has hidden misappropriation like it happened in wheat and sugar crisis in past under nose of this govt.

govt not buy oil on monthly based contract,it is based on futures for months and effect of price hike or rise is transferred gradually, when petrol price decreased internationally govt not reduced price overnight but it took months when they lowered price

Ap ne contracts dekehy thai? If you are right about the monthly contrwcrs then why jumping when petrol gone down last month? That time govt didnt buy petrol month bach for months?

Crude was above USD 100 per barrel then.
That time we also didnt have huge burden of repayment of loans also.

Well one thing is for sure. The Pti is never coming to power again after their incredible performance. -0.4% growth, rate what do you expect. But Ofcourse they will blame everything and everyone but themselves. These days they like to blame everything on corona.. 25 rs increase wow. To top it off their own ministers are openly sAying what a mess this government has made. Tbh I believe this government doesn’t really give two cents about what the public feel, say or do, they just impose everything as if they are owners of a small company when they’re suppose to be its servants.
Absolutely right.

You don't have any problem with price you are taking revenge from PTI as a loyal noon league supporter sahi kaha na

When one does not have a counter argument come down to this. Well you are also a loyal potian. Continue defending IK when his own MNAs are getting frustrated.

Which crude oil is this? Is this price of Brent crude oil?

Yes. Brent is generally taken as a basis.

So you are agreeing that PTI is paying external debt by increasing fuel prices. The government does not have a plan and is generating revenue the easiest way just like previous governments.

ridicilous expectations. We are not living in Netherlands. There no special lanes for bicycles.the weather is extremely harsh for most of the year. Our cities were not designed keeping bike cyclists in mind (that is urban planners and architects fault tho)

what we need is more public transport. Trams, metro train stations, bus infrastructures. Only then we can reduce the need for oil.

Continue doing anti Pakistan propaganda. High oil prices are good for Pakistan.

Fatwa factory becoming live.

By the way the patriots gave away Kashmir not the traitors.

Metro is haram. Remember PTI continued opposing the projects till they launched Peshawar Metro.

No govt dont have harry potter magic wand to swing and do the fixing of 30 years mass in 2 years.

Our export increase, our textile sector getting 90% capacity of orders. Tax filer increase 50%. Going for mafia making reports presenting to court. At the same time givin releif to poor ppl of 10 billion rupees.

Yeah govt dont have plan.

By the way is this true?

.
Before starting comparison, just to inform you that this government is pocketing 30 rupees petroleum levy per liter additionally along with GST and other taxes.. Enough for your eyes to open up a little bit or not?

That levy was in place even before this govt came to power so please dont dump everything on this govt. Levy is there to cover servicing and transport costs as you cannot get same rates as that of supplier. Petrol price in Pakistan are infact one of the lowest if compared to overseas prices. In Australia prices since last month have gone up 35cents from 90c to 125c. You can easily comprehend that price difference is almost the same as in Pakistan actually its more. Only problem here is that in Pakistan prices are reviewed monthly so price seems to jump and down suddenly. Same as suddenly petrol price dropped 15 and everyone was full of joy. Pakistan simply doesnt have any significant refining capacity or crude reserves to provide you a smooth transition in prices.
