That's a simplistic understanding. You cannot see ecnomy of a country in 2022 without seeing foreign impact on it. There is a dollar driven economy in place in world. + add covid and emerging situations.

2/3 majority is must for anyone who has to deliver. Otherwise you will keep circling around the tail with hung parliaments. hung parliament do not expectedly perform anywhere in world. Also IK has no vested interest in system. He is not here for factories. Anyways let's see.

It's not really the system. May be we will see minor improvement with presidential system but actually It's the people and the character of a weak state that does not enforce itself on strong. Special laws. Special rules. Special waivers. Special deals. One convict is sitting abroad on special deal. Her daughter is out on forever bail on special deal. His brother is dodging courts on another deal. You can install American presidential system here, as long as the system does not deliver same justice, we will be in the same mess. Things like 18th amendment can also work and not work when politicians work AGAINST the countrys interests in their own interest.

Today - what we saw is an unprecedented state of affairs where SC barged into parliament, setting aside Speaker's ruling. Imposing itself on the parliament, to impose a special waiver, special deal for the ones blackmailing them or pressurizing them.

The country is on stand still for 2 months now. And elections may be pushed until oct. It's a circus because all system is ganged up to bring down IK' government even if it means breaking all laws. That all can happen in presidential system also equally well.

IK should have imposed emergency in country and taken these thugs to courts hmself by bringing in NSC stakeholders. I have been saying from day 1. Now it's all a mess.
