Pakistan frees suspected Mumbai plotter

You don't consider it evil to make light of a clear miscarriage of justice?

Very rich coming from the land where they lock up people up to 10 years without charge. Very rich coming from the land where they raid and rape lands under the pretence of WMD and murder 1000s. Very rich indeed for letting people walk free for cutting up dead bodies and of course piss on the dead and not charge these people? Why be so 2 faced. Solomon you are so obsessed and concerned about issues in our land - you forget your own land of pure.

Excellent point. So you would apply the same standard to those acquitted by a court of law but then picked up by ISI from Adiyala Jail, I hope? (Four of them have already been killed after acquittal.)

why dont you question US ???? killing 16 innocent people in Afghanistan and the person is in kansas ????
1000's of innocents being killed in this WOT and still you americans are blood thirsty ???

Very rich coming from the land where -
'I hear you saying, "I claim there was an incident of injustice elsewhere so let's tolerate injustice here, to my advantage! Let me and my family commit every evil deed we can because of my allegation and let no one complain!"'

If you are in US Army, go ahead and kill people like all other american army personal ...
Our land, our laws ... if you dont like , get hell out of this place ...

You missed the important part: there were proofs, but the witnesses retracted their testimony! If Pakistan had a witness protection program don't you think Haroon would still be in jail?

There are many reasons for witnesses retracting their testimony.

Many do so because they realized that their own positions are untenable from a legal standpoint. This is not a "mob movie" where witnesses withdraw solely due to intimidation from armed gangs and other such fictional situations.

If there is actual "physical evidence", then it will stand on its own. "IF" such a thing exists here.

ALL of them!!!???

If there is actual "physical evidence", then it will stand on its own.
I think everybody agrees that Pakistan needs to improve its ability to collect and present forensic evidence.

ALL of them!!!???

The point is that we can't know the reasons. One reason is just as likely as the next if there is no proof.

I think everybody agrees that Pakistan needs to improve its ability to collect and present forensic evidence.

If the collection and reliability of "phyical evidence" is in doubt, then what does that say about the collection and reliability of human witness testimony?

Even a moderately well-off person could afford to hire an entire armada of people to say whatever they want. That's why phyiscal evidence is important.

Good job by court of LAW ... there were not enough proofs against these people, and they being help for so long without any proofs ....

indians need to stop this .. or provide proper proofs which can stand in court of law... otherwise there is no reason in holding them in jail...

ISLAMABAD - A Pakistani court has acquitted a key al-Qaeda operative and an alleged plotter of the November 2008 Mumbai terror attacks in a murder case, with witnesses withdrawing their testimony, likely in fear of reprisals.

Major (retired) Haroon Ashiq, also known as Abu Khattab, is a former Special Service Group (SSG) commando of the Pakistan Army who became a Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) trainer after he left the forces in 2000. He was charged with killing Dr Abdul Saboor

Malik, the administrator of the Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Lahore, but acquitted on March 11 due to a lack of substantial evidence after both prosecution witnesses retracted their testimonies.

Malik was gunned down on January 16, 2009 near his residence in the Model Town area of Lahore. The police had blamed Haroon for the murder because of Saboo's ties with the Ahmadiyah minority community, which is detested by al-Qaeda and Taliban.

The case for which he was being prosecuted in Pakistan was for a murder of a Pakistani within Pakistan.
Your state in this case is failing its own people.

I hear you saying, "I claim there was an incident of injustice elsewhere so let's tolerate injustice here, to my advantage! Let me and my family commit every evil deed we can because of my allegation and let no one complain!"

I hear you saying the same........ Infact i hear you saying " Whatever injustice we do is right... however you need to stop doing your injustice"

Pakistan has been failing to punish terrorists in courts. Not many Pakistanis seem to care though, however many come out in force to support extra-judicial killings in Balochistan by their security agencies, obviously oblivious to the pitfalls, a typical nationalistic short sighted view...

Whats interesting is one never hears of the ISI picking up these punjabi terrorists and getting rid of them...

What gives?

Whatever buddy, now Jamat Ul Dawah is giving signals for alliance with anti-Shia terrorist groups like Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. It is an alarm bell ringing for Pakistan, if Pakistan keep tolerating such extremists. Pakistan is still supporting Jamat Ul Dawah even with UN Security Council ban.

well if you know no one cares what UN Security Council says, its a US drama ...... should we make UN Security Council guilty of killing thousands of innocent people in Iraq as there were not WMD's ...

All UN Security Council permanent countries should have left UN Security Council after such a big fail on their part and get the new permanent members but this is just another US tool .....

Your friends China also collaborated with them to ban Jamat ul Dawah and Pakistan keeps too much positive views about Chinese.

A terrorist Organization is always a terrorist Organization, that's why they are embracing other Terrorist group like Lashkar-e-Jhangi and it will be Pakistan only that will suffer in the future because they also share one characteristics hate Shias also along with hating India or US.
