Gen. Pervaiz Kayani leaves for France

ISLAMABAD: Army Chief General Ashfaque Pervaiz Kayani left on a France tour here.

ISPR said that the Army Chief’s visit was scheduled for three-days, but it has been cut down to one-day stay in the backdrop of the country’s internal situation. Army chief would be meeting France’s top military leaderships and government officials.

well on some threads it is being disscussed that it was only a rumor and even the french authorities have denaid any such deal!

The only reason why France has shown some , LOVE to pakistan is simple they just opened a Air Base in UAE soil frist Army base so close to Pakistan Territory , if you have played the game civilization the first thing you do when you open a army base close to anothe civilization is that you offer a gift.

This is why Sarkozy offered a nuclear ? promise nuclear car, or lighter or bottle opener we don't know as he did not confirm what exactly they will offer that will be nuclear.

Now the whole story is , that also there is a strategic push to control the Middle east - one who controls the oil in the next World war will be the winner , becasue we all know Russia already has its share.


It could also be looked upon as an act - to perhaps take down Iranian nuclear facilities a joint - Airforce attack

200 Israeli fighters + 200 US Air fighters (Qater) + 200 French Airfighters (UAE)

You can envision - that perhaps even Pakistani nuclear weapons program could be a target

So its very suspectible what their intentions are but having so many fighter planes close to Pakistan and Iranian airs is unusual.

Perhaps there is a fear - that if Iran is Attacked , Pakistan will retaliate - or perhaps the whole idea is to come up with any excuse and take out Pakistani Nuke facilities and also whack Iran -

If we go back in time, east indian trading company which conquered Subcontinent also came in a friends with gifts , and promises to trade but we all know they also came with armies - and later enslaved the people ....

From a strategic point of view -

The move of french to be in Middle east is , that imagine if Israel attacs Iran , the other nations might combine air powers - and they might be able to neutralize Israel - if Pakistan jumps in so they need enough air fighters in regions to make sure that Pakistan is occupied with its own war.


But I read about French and US relationships and they seem to have a sour relationships as France is going weaker by the day , and is not a big world power , and US is bulling it alot - so it wants to make sure that France does not becomes dependent on US for every thing including oil.


Again there are alot of dynamics , perhaps NATO wants to be in region so in case russia decides to expand they will have planes so in essense - thet have their reasions they are not our friends - thats for sure only CHINA IS OUR FRIEND

I think PAF is covered for the JF-17 engines. Pakistan should work with China to improve the Chinese version of J-10 engines.

Last time when Zaradri was in power via BB, a Mirage scandal surfaced. I hope this is not the continution of an old affair.

Need to be very careful with France's nuclear offer. In late 70s France backed out of the reprocessing plant under US pressure.

Yeah French returnd but they had to pay us fine for breaking contract.
