Srinagar, June 27: Foreign Secretary of Pakistan Jaleel Abbas, who is expected to arrive in New Delhi on July 3, has invited the JKLF Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M), Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, for a meeting on his arrival in New Delhi.
Abbas would be meeting the Indian Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai on July 4 and 5 in New Delhi.
Pakistans acting high commissioner, Babar Amin telephoned Malik on Wednesday evening and extended the invitation on behalf of Abbas to him. Malik will be meeting Abbas on July 3 in the evening, the JKLF leader added.
Meanwhile, Mirwaiz told Greater Kashmir that he received a call from Pakistan acting High Commissioner, and he extended the invitation for the meeting on behalf of Jaleel Abbas to him. I will be meeting the Pakistan Foreign Secretary on July 3 in the evening, Mirwaiz said.
Abbas wants to discuss the prevailing Kashmir situation with Hurriyat leaders before holding parleys with his Indian counterpart on July 4 and 5, Mirwaiz quoted Pakistan Acting High Commissioner Babar Amin as having said.
