KABUL: US deputy foreign minister for South Asia Richard Boucher said that Pakistan in Bajaur is facing the militants coming from outside the border.

According to the briefing text given in Kabul, Boucher said that Pakistan is fighting severely against the militants in Bajaur who come from Afghanistan and sometimes shift also from Pakistan to Afghanistan.

He said that the United States wants to work together with Pakistan and Afghanistan in the border areas.

its from long time who remember today after 4000 killing?

.
Exactly, thats the point. We are facing trouble in Bajuar today because supposedly the party on the other side has failed to stop intervention from their side. Yet, they would like to tell us what to do instead of stopping what is going on right under their nose

You thank me for those articles about Afghanistan and yet say that? I'll state here what I've said elsewhere- large numbers of these miscreants die when they cross into Kunar, Nuristan, Nangahar, Patika, and Paktia. You've read the articles, I presume? If so, then you know that we maintain a SEVERE presence in Kunar and that it's a virtual death zone for the taliban.

Bajaur makes sense as the only source of illicit opium production of note in Pakistan. It's long rumored as the preferred vacation locale of Ayman Zawahiri and maybe his bestest buddy. It serves, until most recently, the supply, logistic, and sanctuary needs of those being slaughtered by the Americans in Kunar. It's only natural that once under attack that these forces would race to secure their sanctuary, knowing it was prepared with loving care and time for just such an eventuality.

They did so faster than we could pursue. Go figure.:D

My guess is that they thought that there'd be easier pickings on the Pakistani side of the border. Makes for a happier jihad when you've a real chance to win and live to see the fruits. That won't happen when fighting us. We like dead talibunnies.

Yup.:devil::usflag:

^Bajur being the head office of CIA and regularly showered by hell fires! combed intensively by Pakistan army! how come it be a safe sanctuary for resistive elements?
Only fools will rush to Bajur and those who are not, will simply go some place not listed in your books.

When and where did you learn this?
I only remember him being anti Pakistan and enemy of Pakistan security forces. He never tried to kill American President but he tried to Kill P. Musharraf on various occasions! He regularly invites whole world to fight with Pakistan Army, seems only US army and indians are heading to his pleads.
Al-Qaeeda, US army and indians are partner in their common goal to destroy Pakistan but destroy its army first.
:guns:cowboys :guns:cowbrains :guns:cowcrap
Lay off cowards.

"When and where did you learn this?"

Ah! When PREDATOR struck Damadola, remember? Google away and read the hits. Try "ZAWAHIRI BAJAUR". Plenty of speculation.

"seems only US army and indians are heading to his pleads."

Should we go to war with your army you won't need to use the word "seems" to describe it. It'll be clear to all.

"Al-Qaeeda, US army and indians are partner in their common goal to destroy Pakistan but destroy its army first."

Don't be openly stupid.

"Lay off cowards."

I've yet to see the ANA surrender in mass without firing a shot. One of your battalions did in August, 2006-

"In August, militants in the neighbouring South Waziristan district kidnapped nearly 300 troops, including at least nine officers, who are yet to be released.

Significantly, many of these troops are reported to have surrendered without firing a shot."

Pakistan Army's Tribal Quagmire- BBC

Perhaps you recall?

Your icons make a poor substitute for the real thing. Pick up a weapon and do what's right and proper. Go die fighting the Americans. We are SOOOOO close. Then we'll see who are the cowards.:usflag:

The same people that paid and trained villagers to fight the big bad Russians for them? You talk with your *** wide open ole chap.

"You talk with your *** wide open ole chap."

How so old boy? Do tell.:)

We've 5,000 dead soldiers between Iraq and Afghanistan and 300 more in a field in Pennsylvania who've died fighting- the vast majority over 6,000 miles from their homes yet re-enlisting like never before. This from five weeks ago-

"Retention in the active duty Army is thousands of re-enlistments ahead of its goal for the year, according to information published by the Army Times. Combined with a strong recruiting year, the retention numbers are rapidly pushing the Army toward its expanded end-strength goal of 547,400 for 2010.

With a month left in the fiscal year, unit commanders and career counselors had re-enlisted 72,083 soldiers. That total is more than 7,000 re-enlistments above the fiscal year gaol of 65,000."

Army Re-Enlistments At An All-Time High

Seven years into this and most of these men and women have the full expectation and consequent separation from their families two to four times more in their careers. They re-enlist willingly in full knowledge at this point of the risks and the worth of the mission. There is no doubt in their purpose and they know what they do makes America and the rest of the world a safer place. Hope you're so lucky to be as well-served by the young men and women of your nation.

Like I said, they're no cowards. Cross the border into Kunar and you'll likely never come back but if they're the cowards you profess them to be then go enjoy a few weeks jihad with my blessing.:agree:

I doubt that the board here would note your permanent absence.
