Pakistan Expels Indian Envoy, Suspends Trade Over Kashmir

This should have been done the day he took office.

This is just a political move as we all know Indian goods are smuggled in more than documented trade.

P.S. i dont have Twitter nor interest in your tribal problems
You nleages are so confused..your leader she is saying different and you as Pakistani asking differnt..make your mind as pm Ik asked to shabaz Sharif..should we attack india He replied to pm it is up to you I am not saying you attack India..

These are very cosmetic measure which will not have any uummff effect. What needs to happen:

1) Declare LOC invalid formally and rename it "Battle front".
2) Declare, that since India has broken UNSC resolution, its presence in Indian occupied Kashmir will be taken as illegal occupation and Pakistani armed forces will be at liberty to conduct any military operation they deem fit anywhere , in order to protect the suppressed Kashmiris.
2) Pass constitutional amendment declaring Indian occupied Kashmir as part of the federation of Pakistan.
3) Declare that any hostile action against supressed Kashmiris by Indian state apparatus will immediately follow military action by Pakistani armed forces against Indian entities.
4) Declare that any attempt by any Non Kashmiri to settle in Kashmir will meet with military action by Pakistan. No demographical change of Kashmir will be allowed.
5) Immediately conduct major operations on Indian forces to cause maximum causalities. India needs to be jolted.
6) Release all the information in public domain, including the video evidence of the strikes during operations Swift retort.

This is the bear minimum that is expected.

i have a feeling kashmir dispute is going towards settlement. Trump did not said what he said just like that.there was something cooking which modi told trump and asked him to jump in. i feel its all preplanned and india did this to heat up the situation and a heated situation will give world power an excuse to intervene.
What next? things are going to heat up even further and when every one will start thinking about war THEN will start real game by world powers to settle this issue.
Why? its not like world powers loves us or kashmiris! Its all about our nuclear weapons. once all settle then they will come and ask us to give up and excuse will be that now pakistan dont need these weapons. Once given up, india can attack and annex kashmir at its will.

Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN) — Pakistan has announced it will downgrade diplomatic relations and suspend bilateral trade with India after New Delhi stripped the disputed state of Jammu and Kashmir of its special status.
Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan's office said in a statement Wednesday that Islamabad would also review bilateral agreements with India and take the issue up with the United Nations and the UN Security Council.

On Tuesday, India's parliament voted to reclassify the state of Jammu and Kashmir as a union territory, giving the government in New Delhi greater authority over the contested Muslim-majority region, which is also claimed by Pakistan.

The day before, the Indian government announced it was revoking a provision in the constitution which had granted special status and powers to the state.
Pakistan's military had previously warned it would "go to any extend" to fight the changes, the country's chief of army staff said Tuesday.

Indian occupied Kashmir remains in lockdown amid a communications blackout, with landline connections, internet and mobile coverage all suspended. Tens of thousands of additional Indian troops have also been deployed into the already heavily militarized region to head off unrest.
The scrapping of Article 370 of the Indian constitution will also allow non-residents to purchase property in the valley, and apply for jobs or scholarships that had previously been reserved for the state's residents -- a move experts fear could lead to a demographic change in Hindu-dominated India's only Muslim-majority state.

The remote mountainous region of Ladakh, currently part of Jammu and Kashmir, will also be separated and turned into a standalone union territory, the government said.

Relations between the nuclear powers of India and Pakistan have been strained since February, when Pakistan reportedly shot down two Indian fighter jets over Kashmir and captured one of the pilots. India said it had retaliated by shooting down a Pakistani jet, which fell on the Pakistan side of the border.
Pakistan released the captive pilot in March and the situation calmed -- but India's Kashmir vote has inflamed tensions again.

On Tuesday, Khan accused Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ruling party of believing "that Muslims should be ethnically cleansed in India."

"If the world does not act now, if the so-called developed world does not uphold its own laws, then things will go to a place that will damage the whole world," said Khan.

China, which controls about 20% of the Kashmir region, has also protested India's decision, with the Chinese Foreign Ministry accusing India of encroaching on Chinese territorial sovereignty.
Spokeswoman Hua Chunying said on Tuesday that scrapping Article 370 "is unacceptable and will have no effect," and urged India to "strictly abide by the relevant agreements reached by both sides."

China has close economic, diplomatic and military ties with Pakistan, making it one of the nation's closest allies in region.

India's foreign ministry responded that the bill was "an internal matter concerning the territory of India. India does not comment on the internal affairs of other countries and similarly expects other countries to do likewise."

Kashmir on lockdown
Kashmir is one of the world's most dangerous flashpoints, and has been the epicenter for more than 70 years of an often violent territorial conflict between the Pakistan and India.

The mountainous Kashmir region was free to accede to either India or Pakistan after the two countries separated in 1947. When the Hindu king of Jammu and Kashmir chose to join India in exchange for military protection, it became the country's only Muslim-majority state.
The India-controlled Jammu and Kashmir state covers around 45% of Kashmir, in the south and east of the region, while Pakistan controls Azad Kashmir, Gilgit and Baltistan, which cover around 35% of the total territory in the north and west.

Skirmishes along the de facto border between Indian-controlled Kashmir and Pakistani-controlled Kashmir, known as the Line of Control, continue to break out periodically. Earlier this year, two Pakistani soldiers were killed in cross-border fire with Indian forces, according to the country's military.

But with Jammu and Kashmir now on lockdown, and further change imminent, many Kashmiris are reeling with shock.

"Unprecedented horror in Kashmir," tweeted Shah Faesal, a prominent politician from Kashmir who arrived in New Delhi yesterday. "From citizens to subjects ... A people whose land, identity, history, was stolen, in broad day light."

In addition to the communication blackout, a number of prominent politicians have also been placed under house arrest, including at least two former chief ministers of the state, according to CNN affiliate CNN-News18.
Faesal was unable to reach or message the two former chief ministers, he said in a separate Facebook post.

Until last week, Indian authorities had said the deployment of extra troops were in response to a potential security threat in the region. But residents were tense even before the announcement on Monday, rushing to secure essential supplies.

Now, with news of the bill confirmed, "people are in shock," Faesal wrote.
"Everyone is mourning what we lost ... It's the loss of statehood that has hurt people deeply. This is being seen as the biggest betrayal by the Indian state in last 70 years."

Indian economy will be hit hard by this trade suspension. Diplomatic downgrade should also make India fearful.

Pakistani defense companies need to ramp up production of weapons. More small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS are needed because being safe is better than being sorry.

If conflict with India breaks out I think Muftis will declare a fatwa making it fard to go for Jihad against India. Weapons will be smuggled and financed by GCC Arabs to be used against Hindus.

this will happen even if any false flag activity take place inside IOK .... we have to deal with this in any case ....

Not necessarily. IOK is a disputed territory according to every international standard. Pakistan providing moral support to Kashmiri freedom fighters is a legitimate cause. Mumbai or Delhi are not disputed territories, and are considered part of the Indian State.

I fully support implementing the policies of the 90's. Start providing our surplus ammo and weapons to the Kashmiri freedom fighters, and setup camps along the LOC to ensure they get top training/tactics. We have learned a lot as to how to fight the TTP, if those tactics could be taught to Kashmiris, this would make a hell of an insurgency.

If they can hit at their leisure, Quetta, karachi, Lahore , Peshawar, all bets should have been off long time ago.

We have failed to maintain deterrence at sub conventional level thanks to highly compromised leadership both in civil and military in last two decades. We lost 120 billion dollars thanks to this fourth gen warfare according to GOP own admission. Nothing to do with what other powers want or do.

I agree with you. We did get soft, and we were too busy fighting the TTP and other radical elements to have been fully focused there. But ask yourself this question, has there been any major attack in the last four years? No, cause he cleaned house, and we are not distracted. India knows that if it were to launch a terrorist attack inside Pakistan, Mumbai would be blasted with 10 suicide bombs within a week.

LOL don't you worry about that. We are armed to the teeth, in fact we have too many weapons that we have to destroy thousands of tons worth of weapons every year because they are reaching their shelf lives and take up too much space.
