Pakistan Elections 2018: News and Discussions

We will see how this strategy work in 2018 election as compare to previous strategy in 2013 election which was also about staying on nazriya whether get in power or not and allotting ticket to new faces to challenge the status quo which was the main reason of everything bad happening in Pakistani politics.. we will witness after election which fifty percent dominate the policies of Imran if he get in power :)
We already saw that in KPK

For the first time in history KPK might elect the same party...never happened before

Come and register your vote?

Of all the districts in Pakistan, Lahore has the most voters

This one is nothing out of the ordinary but should still tickle the fancy of election geeks who need to now details on votes, voters and constituencies, etc.

News is that Lahore district (5.39 million) has the highest number of voters in all of Pakistan, whereas Balochistan's Sherani district has the lowest (just 39,787).

To know what's in between, come this way.

Seems like Maryam Nawaz is not going to contest election from NA125.

PMLN has nominated her for NA127 seat.

Kher koi bari baat nahi ager Maryam Bhaag Gai hai NA125! Kafi practice hai waisay us ko :woot:

KPK has not got much option just like others provinces. PML(N) was not popular in kpk ( except in hazara division) and PPP is dead in boht Punjab and KPK. PTI has replaced the vote bank of ANP and Molviiz and time will tell us how they perform in 2018 election which could be unpredictable.

Secondly people voting for same party twice dont sspeak of their actual performace because people keep voting for PML(N) in Punjab then woudd PML(N) has right to claim that they have performed well because of which people vote for them again and again.election is all about creating this hype that you are performing well in mind of voters belonging to all class and actual work on ground might be different to this hype

at the end of the day voting is personal choice and people should be free to vote whoever they like . If people in KPK really want PTI again then nobody can stop them and same is true for people in others province who will get what they vote for . Individual voter has no option but to live with what majority decide for him

real democracy in pakistan is not possible at least not yet.People like being slaves and and their minds are have been strongly embedded with the idea of peasantry, for example we talk about electables. These people are mostly feudal lords who own large agricultural lands and properties.the majority of poor farmers, peasants work for them and cultivate their lands.these people have been brainwashed so much that they are not capable of thinking for themselves.these people have no choice, they are not educated,no thinking of their, they spend most their lives serving their lords without question and they are taken full advantage of.these people will always vote for their lords no matter who is contesting, even if the other person is the most rightful person .feudalism is the biggest reason pakistan can never really achieve true democracy.as for the solution Pakistani citizens needs at least 50 years of education with awareness about their rights and credentials and this is just one of many reasons.Pakistan will always remain the same way as it is until feudalism is eradicated or derived off extra judicial exercise of powers.

Kpk has so many options like ANP PPPP PML N and MMA
barely been 10 years of democracy in this country. We don't have long history of democracy.
I guess you woke up yesterday...
Just to refresh ANP, PPP, PML N, MMA, ANP AND PTI formed govt in last 6 elections respectively

when people will become educated enough then only democracy will come in to action.

There is difference between electable and feudals. I agree with Imran definition of electable.

Sorry but I don't consider elections held under army boots legitimate. Pakistan have only seen last 10 years of continues democracy.
