KABUL: Echoing US President Donald Trump's charges that Pakistan was backing terrorists in Afghanistan, a leading Afghan newspaper on Wednesday said Islamabad cannot be trusted any more.

"Terrorists (are) infiltrating to Afghanistan from Pakistan, a hostile neighbour that has been supporting and harbouring insurgency," the Afghanistan Times said in an editorial.

"This is another chance for Pakistan to mend its ways by shunning supporting militants and stand sincerely with Afghanistan in the fight against terror," it said.

"But Islamabad deserves no chance as it always stabs at the back," it said, adding that Pakistan had every time betrayed the international community and the US in particular on the issue of insurgents.

The editorial came two days after Trump warned Pakistan not to keep backing terrorists fighting American forces in Afghanistan.

Trump said that the US can no longer be silent about Pakistan's safe havens for terrorists.

Why is Pakistan so soft on these namak harams, as usual the opium infested Afghans are trying to hide their failures by blaming Pakistan, Pakistan has countless times urged afghans to go after the militants on their side of the border. But it has fallen on deaf ears.

Afghanistan. Occupied country that has hated us since 1947 and has allowed it's hatred to morph so much that they are happy by US occupation and invited the Russians in to gain some advantage against pakistan.

Afghanistan times in that hatred filled country has published multiple anti pakistan content and biased content based on zero rationale and proof.

Yet don't know what is worse. The news item itself or the C grade media that quoted an editorial as news.

Pakistan needs to understand that Afghanistan has and will always hate us. We need every border security available for that obsessed hell hole.

Even US does that... blame Pakistan for their failure... anyway Kabul is not representing Afghanistan but I like the idea of fencing and sending back afghan refugees. Even Norway expelled 100+ years old refugee back declaring Afghanistan is safe to live.
It will be inhuman but we have to send back those so that it knock some sense to people sitting in Kabul

People here hate afghans way more. Anyway, conditions in which they have been living would make anyone selfish, egoistic and aloof from reality. A war torn country with nothing to take pride in but in tribes and lost empires. The generation grown there is automatically becomes opportunist, back stabber and ungrateful.. so its the circumstances and even yo put European in that kind of atmosphere they become savages..

No need to be concerned. Afghanistan and Afghans are not even real Muslims. They are a destroyed, devasted and finished nation. They will probably never recover from this. They are even more backward than Austalian Aboriginies. We should just seal our border with them forever and let them all die of starvation.


PS Not many know this but Afghanistan was even MORE opposed to the creation of Pakistan than the indians were. So to hell with all of them.

That will never happen as over 95% of your troops are deployed on the border with us. As a result of this myopic policy of your successive governments, your troops paid a heavy price in all anti-rebel operations within your nation as they didn't even know their own country's terrains properly.
