What in hell is happening in Pakistan.

It is trying to change by giving rights to women and a little dignity to minorities.

The Hawks in Indian Establishment would say it is bad for India. We want a violence loving Pakistan. For India, as an enemy, it was far better for Pakistan the way it was - Islam, blasphemy killings, beheadings and jihad. Keeps the pot boiling and enemy distracted.

The Doves in Indian Establishment would say it is good for India. We want a peace loving Pakistan. Invested in societal peace and trade. Change the enemy's nature and priorities step by step.

One thing is for sure - No one in India would have thought Nawaz would try to change Pakistan. We have been more comfortable with the Pakistan as we know it.

The question remains open for India though - are the Hawks right or the Doves.
Who to believe. Both make sound arguments.

Good decision that will prove more about Pakistan's stance towards minorities and such steps will help raise more feeling of being secured and valued in account of minorities. Rest about most holidays, well it depends that how much religions or cultures the country holds so a country like Pakistan rich with different cultural values and religions would have maximum numbers of holidays.

Unfortunately my School Days are over .....but I congratulate little Kids at School to make your day more Noisy then before
.
When I was in a School, A rumor spread on these days -- Gov have decided to discharge school for two days (Sat & Sunday) to copy Overseas Schooling system , We at Class celebrated it for 10 minutes then a Teacher appear and shattered our dream ....

Make a law for paid vacation per year like many developed countries. Work hard, Play hard.

Pakistan already has voluminous labor laws. And there is nothing wrong with declaring these days as Public holidays.

There shouldn't be any public holidays including Islamic ones in Pakistan.

Fair enough. Minorities are part and parcel of this country and should be able to celebrate their religious festivals as well officially.

This is ridiculous. The minorities are like 2-3% of the population, i do agree they should be given a holiday on their festivals but to announce a nationwide holiday on these events is just stupid.
In India they did the same thing what you mentioned, we already have many holidays but i think declaring it as Public holiday for minority celebrations makes them more happy and more in mainstream.

Holidays should always be welcomed, who cares what it is given for. Ideally our life should be full of holidays and only few working days. Its only we have a created a big warped society that values only money due to which we sacrifice our freedom of living for slogging.
No discrimination please provide a holiday for extra-terrestrial alien festival too!:D

If cities like Karachi can get shut every other day because of this procession and that protest so can these holidays be announced as public holidays. Pakistanio nay 3 din may koi teer nahi mar lainay by the way. This is fair and nothing stupid about it, even a bit of relief to Muslim majority that sits late in offices because their bosses won't let them go on time.
