Since the new Chief of Pakistan Army General Qamar Javed Bajwa has taken charge, his focus has been on the modernisation of the force.

The Pakistani Army has formulated a new three-phased training policy for its forces. The first phase is named "Back to Basic" which started in July 2017 and will continue till June 30, 2018. It is being considered as the foundation tier at the disposal of Commanding Officers for organising and conducting training. The first phase has been designated as 'The Year of Unit Training'.

The second phase will start from July 1, 2018 and will continue till June 30, 2019. The focus of this phase will be on 'Configuration Tier' of training. Training at this level will be targeted at the Brigade and Division level within the ambit of operational contingencies, while also catering to employment in sub-conventional warfare and internal security. The year will be designated as 'Formation Level Training'.

The third phase will start from July 1, 2019 and will end on June 30, 2020. The final year will be 'Sub Conventional Warfare a Keystone Tier' training for command level enabled training graduation to 'Capstone Tier'. This year will be designated as "Command/Army" level.

Since the new Chief of Pakistan Army General Qamar Javed Bajwa has taken charge, his focus has been on the modernisation of the force. With the help of China's People's Liberation Army (PLA), Pakistan is fortifying its bunkers along the India-Pakistan border. There have been instances when Chinese engineers were seen at Pakistani posts, as per defence sources.
By changing its training policy, the Pakistani Army is also converting the temporary Mujahid Battalions into permanent Mujahid Battalions. Most of these battalions are deployed in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. As per sources, 641, 647, 654 and 655 Mujahid Battalions have been converted into Permanent Battalions.

one year to six month training must for student who pass highschool. NCC was a good program.
probable not if you so much willing man power and such a large army
yes if the army reduced its front print from 1 million (6,60,000 active+300,000 para military) to say 5-6 lac than it should be started

I have a very close relative in Mujahid Regiment so this is what actually happened.

Mujahid Battalions weren't temporary. They were active Infantry Units, surprisingly this regiment had the most Infantry units around. They were labelled as "Reserve" to justify our Military Strength. Since we're under constant watch by the UN and US at Military Size. Although MF Regiment does not operate like Reserve Army Units of other countries. Most of Eastern Flank is covered by MF Units. They specialize in Mountain and Desert Warfare. Now they're converted into total Regular Regiments an armed with SAMs along. SAM Battalions to be precise.

They are being trained for LOC only specially for Indian forces.

They are already trained for Desert Warfare and Mountain Warfare. A Mujahid Regiment Officer used to get trained for 6 Months at PMA and 6 Months at Mujahid Training School, Chourr Desert for individual kind of Warfare.

The typical yellow journalist in the Indian media could not help but insert China into an unrelated news. Iss fuzool bharti shaks ko itni bhi ghairat aur ghoroor se fursat nahin ke sirf yeh kehna ke Pakistan ne khud apne bunker mazboot karliye hain tu inki ana doob marey gi.. laanat ho.

Is Mujahid Regiment and Mujahid Force (60-80,000) same ?

***Most of these battalions are deployed in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.***
Azad Kashmir is part of Pakistan, not Pakistan occupied Kashmir!!!

Is the writer of this article high on drugs or perhaps a zionist Indian hindu? No offence but the writer has shown his sheer ignorance and blind mentality!

long long ago Mujahid Force was made part of the regular Army.

Long ago volunteers/reservists used to do their regular job, teacher, engineer, techs whatever and used to be called for duties once a year for few months. deployment was only at LOC, azad kashmiri etc.

Jee Newj has nothing new to cook up, looks like chitrol at LOC doing its work.

Mujahid force units are stationed all along our loc/border with India in Azad Jammu and Kashmir n not any where along our working boundary......
The last time I checked their was no desert in AJK.
