Pakistan probably has more gas and oil but not discovered and no chance it will be developed either. This is because gas at the very least is priced so low so as to make the discovery and development of it unprofitable.

Increase the price you pay for local gas, and this will solve at least gas problem.

Title of this news is bit misleading. It should read like this: 'Country has consumed 79.8% of the KNOWN oil reserves and 66.6% of the KNOWN gas reserves'.

Government of Pakistan did not allocate any land for exploration of oil and gas between 2013 and 2018. As a result no new oil fields were discovered during that period of time. So the oil fields which were discovered prior to 2013 are now depleting.

Now the same policies of 2013 - 2018 are back ......... rejoice everyone.

Everyone enjoyed cheap gas prices for years not just that instead using cheap gas as an incentive for industry we used in our cars for years so why cry now suffer the consequences
