Brother Hudood 1.PAF has, if I m not mistaken previously evaluated SU27s and rejected them, on account of high maintenance and lack of assurance regarding future supply of parts. They are not suitable for PAFs current policy,which is defensive and more inclined towards single engined platforms.I do not think PAF would change its current thoughts so radically as there seems to be no mention of any other buys by PAF other than F16 and Thunder and J10 in AFDP 2019.

Making JF-17 a french avionics based / Frrench Missile based platform will strenghten our future ties and requirements from France........ I would say Rafale is Coming Fellows.........

As per the status Su-30 with R-77 is Air Superiority Fighter but consider that, Su-30 is not Invincible neither it has cartriges of BVR misisles only 2 R-77, plus with Interception Range of 60+ km in BVR, J-17, has a good chance of interception...theoratically i would say 30% but its not on the theoritical capability boards we can decide the fight results, No SU-30 has ever seen any battle and no one has ever shot down a fighter Jet... Remians to be tested same as JF-17 Capabilities..

For open skies till it shoots down 2 Jets with R-77 before they know it SU-30 is untouchable.. But with SAMs i am sure it is possible..

I know I'm qouting from wikipedia but with 12 stations the Su30 MKI is geared to carry about 10 R77s not 2.

Hi,

No aircraft utilizes all its hard points all the time with same weapons unless facing a very unique and challenging threat. There are a multitude of different types of missiles attached. Some for long range and some for shorter range air combat.

An exception would be, like an enemy long range tactical bomber is coming in with an escort of multiple 5-10 fighter planes. In order to disperse them off, so that you can strike the main target, one or two planes could have a maximum load of similiar missiles, get within range, shoot and scoot and let your other planes go after the main target.

Bigger the missile, heavier the load, less manevourable the plane is.
