British India was an entity united by force, it was not then and is not now a monolithic ethnic or cultural entity - a South Asian Europe, except that it didn't even have a single religious identity like Christianity in Europe. As I said, whatever suits your narrative. British India was a united entity and the princely states accepted the suzerainty of the Crown. So should have asked there.
Also, Kashmir was not a united entity either.
Your heads I win, tales you lose narrative doesn't make sense.
The whole purpose of a plebiscite or referendum in such a situation is to give the different ethno-linguistic and religious groups a voice in their future and destiny, which means each ethno-linguistic group would have the choice to vote in a referendum/plebiscite to choose between Independence, joining Pakistan or joining Hindustan.
Rewriting history to fit your nonsensical bhakt narratives does not actually make your claims and arguments factually correct.
