We cannot hold our regional ambitions hostage to American demands. This window of opportunity must be availed at all cost. America should be shown a middle finger. The US is a spoiler and an illwisher.

Pakistan must at all cost refocus on IPC.
We shouldn't pick sides/fights & instead we should remain neutral + try to convince uncle Sam by highlighting our energy needs & economic interests in some areas in regards to Iran just like india did by importing oil from Iran after getting waiver's...

Let's face it, our biggest export Market is USA with 16% of total Share !! These figrs are from 2019.
  1. United States: US $3.8 billion (16% of total Pakistani exports)
  2. China: $1.8 billion (7.7%)
  3. United Kingdom: $1.7 billion (7.3%)
  4. Afghanistan: $1.4 billion (5.7%)
  5. Germany: $1.3 billion (5.5%)
  6. United Arab Emirates: $996 million (4.2%)
  7. Netherlands: $941.6 million (4%)
  8. Spain: $922.8 million (3.9%)
  9. Bangladesh: $787.6 million (3.3%)
  10. Italy: $776.5 million (3.3%)
  11. Belgium: $668 million (2.8%)
  12. France: $447.1 million (1.9%)
If USA impose Sanctions & then European countries will also bend their knees under pressure, most of our exports will vanish + 100s of thousands will be jobless + textile industries will collapse... & then their (uncle sam) cries about Our nuclear program then You know rest of the things i.e excuses for sanctions etc + No funds from ADB, WB, IMF (If need arise for a bailout ?), FATF ,
picking sides (with iran involvement) will push Arabs closer to india even more & most of our remittances comes from Arab countries + then keep in mind i.e our economic mess..

First of all we need a strong economy, without that we dont have a choice nor our policy makers will pick sides considering the multiple factors i.e the big elephant USA our biggest trading partner then its hold on financial institutes like WB,IMF etc + Sanctions + economic dependence on Arab countries & remittance & our relations with them will dive down to low + our trade with European countries + we will leave an open door for india !!

we need to have a very balanced policy, we cannot afford any stupidity.. We're not China OR a Rich Arab Country with unlimited oil Or a big oil Producing country like Iran,USA -__-

No one likes or support its policies (Talking about USA) but i dont think we can risk everything by picking sides.

OK.

Let us all show Middle Finger to USA in all matters of the world.

When USA come after Pakistan, will YOU lead us to VICTORY with your BOLD TALKS here on PDF? Are you superman or something?

I actually see much benefit in Pakistan - Iran dealings TBH but there are significant problems to address beforehand; Iran have significant problems with both KSA and USA for instance. What should WE do about this? WE can play the role of MEDIATION between these countries but not sure if this will deliver results.

Picking sides in international conflicts is not a wise idea, my friend. WE are stuck with a dysfunctional economy among other issues. India is slowly but surely improving its economic situation and it can afford to buy cutting-edge arms now (much of the world is opening up to India from business standpoint among other factors). How are WE going to keep up with this dynamic for long-term? Arms race can get out of hand and bankrupt nations.

Choose your battles wisely - always. Look at the fate of some countries which did not (bankrupt; destroyed; sovereignty lost).

Americans are in no mood in looking the other way this time, for any country whatsoever. There are consequences for crossing red lines of an aggressive superpower - be it distant or not.

Unless the entire Islamic bloc get its act together and pool its resources, all Islamic countries are vulnerable and can be taken down one by one.

I dont think Pakistan having better economic relations with Iran will affect ties with the US in the medium/long term. Sure Iran has some bad sanctions leveled against it but, the prospects of Trumps re-election are looking dimmer and dimmer. Eventually if Biden does win the presidency then you can expect the return to the US-Iran peace deal or something similar.

All this is based off of the level headed mullah. If the Iranian mullahs get to ahead of themselves as they are known to then Pakistan should thread with caution.

At the end of the day no matter how much of a threat Mullahs in Iran may be to Pakistan, we need good brotherly relations with the people of Iran who have a close bond with us.
