United States Confirm that pakistan has developed a MIRV Technology . Pakistan has successfully tested Ababeel

ballistic missile with a multiple independently targetable reentry vehicle (MIRV) .This make pakistan First country to acquire MIRV capability in south east asia

Robert Ashley, the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) submitted his testimony to Congress on march 6 ,2018 stating that “In January 2017, Pakistan conducted the first test launch of its nuclear-capable Ababeel ballistic missile, demonstrating South Asia’s first MIRV payload.”

MIRVs capable missile can deliver allow deliver multiple warheads against different targets through a single missile launch

On january 24, 2017 Inter-Services Public Relations of pakistan army announced that Pakistan has sucessfully conducted its first MIRVed Ababeel missile . The maximum range of Surface to Surface Ballistic Missile Ababeel test was 2,200 kilometers. In the press release it was announched that “The missile is capable of delivering multiple warheads, using Multiple Independent Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology.” The statement added that the test was aimed at “validating various design and technical parameters.” No other tests of the Ababeel missiles are known to have taken place since the first one.

Development of the Ababeel missile is believed to have begun in the mid-to-late 2000s, and the missile’s design is similar to other Pakistani solid-fuel medium-range ballistic missiles, such as the Shaheen II and Shaheen III, according to CSIS’s Missile Defense Project. Unlike those missiles— which both have two stages— the Ababeel is a three stage missile. The BBC reported back in 2010 that Pakistani missile designers were receiving substantial assistance from China in developing MIRV technology. The Ababeel appears to have a large nose cone, which may allow it to carry multiple warheads even if they are slightly larger than normal MIRVed warheads.

Islamabad’s stated rationale for pursuing MIRV technology is to defeat India’s ballistic-missile defense systems. “Development of Ababeel Weapon System is aimed at ensuring survivability of Pakistan’s ballistic missiles in the growing regional Ballistic Missile Defence (BMD) environment,” the Pakistani military

There have been cases where around eight to ten satellites have been launched in one go. The major difference is that these satellites are positioned in different orbits in space while in case of MIRV the warheads re-enter the earth's atmosphere and fire on the target. The system is designed in such a fashion that the damage caused by several small warheads could be much more than that caused by a single warhead.

So, it's not something new. With the know how of launching and placing multiple satellites in space using a single launch vehicle, MIRV is just a piece of cake, or I guess China and India may have long mastered it, maybe just working to make the system perfect. :-)

This is exactly what is happening in the subcontinent. But I'm 100% sure, some people won't agree with me. LOL :sarcastic:
know i understand the logic behind this picture "Appear weak"

You had swallowed Pakistan long ago if it was weak
Ha, you didn't get the point.

@ Topic, Congrats to Pakistan on becoming first Asian country (though China might already have it and excluding Russia is an honest mistake as the pop centers are close to the west) to test MIRV missile, otoh MIRV is not demonstrated. On records they are MIRVed.

We are always first in South Asia when it comes to defence equipment and best performing records in wars or conflicts.

.
Not the first , but certainly very capable achievement ..

It say capable of of using Mirv. Where is the statement that mirv were tested.
I will post the links.

But do tell me what does MIRV capable Missile mean? Clutching at straws.

It say capable of of using Mirv. Where is the statement that mirv were tested.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday successfully tested a nuclear capable, medium range missile equipped with ‘multiple independently targeted reentry vehicles’ (MIRVs).

“First successful flight test of surface-to-surface ballistic missile Ababeel, which has a maximum range of 2,200 kilometres, was conducted. The missile is capable of delivering multiple warheads, using MIRV technology,” the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

The MIRV technology enables a missile to deliver multiple warheads.

“Ababeel is capable of carrying nuclear warheads and has the capability to engage multiple targets with high precision, defeating the enemy’s hostile radars,” the statement said.

Pakistan’s rationale for attaining the MIRV technology is to defeat Indian ballistic missile defence (BMD) shield.

“Development of Ababeel weapon system is aimed at ensuring survivability of Pakistan’s ballistic missiles in the growing regional BMD environment. This will further reinforce deterrence,” the ISPR said.

MIRVing is a double-edged sword. While it will enhance strategic stability by allowing Pakistan to confidently evade BMDs at longer distances in addition to improving the survivability of nuclear forces, MIRVs at the same time become choice targets for a first-strike by the enemy.

MIRVing also implies that Pakistan is going to invest more in production of warheads and fissile materials, which will increase the size of nuclear arsenal.
