its not blast and destruction that worries me but the aftermath of strikes. lot of land could not use for agriculture and effect of radiation remain for many years. genetic disorder in people and slow death to incoming generations.

Theoratically, what will happen if India , is on the verge of a military victory in Pakistan. Indian tanks are rolling into Islamabad. The state of Pakistan as we know it , is seriously in danger of being annexed. The Indian defence minister , says that once Islamabad is captured, Pakistan will no longer exist and will be divided into 4 states.

Somewhere near Kahuta, Seniior officers of the Pakistan has about 80-100 nuclear tipped missiles , they have a choice to make ? Do thay risk a nuclear war , by launching missiles targetting Indian cities , or do they destroy those missiles, so that they cannot be used by Indians ??

I think Pakistan military must be possessing all these now,

Deep underground bunkers to keep their nuke and delivery systems safe.
Rescue teams in case of Nuke ,Chemical and Biological attacks.
Gadgets to be used for identifying radiation.
Teams to track Indian Nukes and delivery systems destroy them.
Anti missile systems.
India can launch missiles from South India so develop deep penetration capability.Or else possible Military base in Srilanka.
Indian Nuclear submarine which might be a big threat,So Anti Submarine Aircraft and defense systems.
A strong civilian leadership for diplomacy to turn the world against India.

I dont think any country can just try to take over Pakistan without nuking it first taking over pak in any way will cause world war. we have enough weapons enough men, boys to stand an fight in the country plus friendly countries to assist us.....

i think pakistan only needs a nuke sub to have multiple launching system we have land and air launching system which are better than indian sy sysstem but i think that pakistan should have something like patriotic missile defence system but again what about multiple warheads from missile will get out which is more difficult to destroy becoz your defence shield is efective against one warhead but opponent missile is launching multiple warheads so your missile only can hit one but other can hit their targets

The thread starter intent was to understand what counter measures Pakistan have in case of a nuclear exchange between India and Pakistan...I haven't seen a single reply so far about it....So can any informed member please share a thing or too about it???

Guys, any nuclear holocaust will be terrible for whole world. what will remain of people will be no homes migration to neighboring countries... the whole area along with neighbors will be destroyed...

plus, think about the way of life in both coutnries, that will be the end of it... both nations know it and they will try to have limited wars at the maximum, the one we saw in kargil.... even if a full fledged war will happen it wont be crossing the borders more like artillery duels. massive airstrikes or massive missile launhces and that too will end in a day or two with maximum sustained damage...

if one country realizes that they gonna cause other country to reach threshold then the war will stop...

It will never come down to nuclear weapons, unless the politicians want MAD....

No wonder both nations are trying to gain as much conventional capability as possible.... fast conventional warfare , no land grabbing, war for diplomacy...
