Problem is its hard to do anything else, unless and until we completely forget the past, which is a shame. Any pro Pakistani or pro Indian government can't act freely in their country. We did proxy in Srilanka, we lost a prime minister....we also have burned hands. Only thing left is increasing economic ties. If India invest more in Srilanka, we will have cordial relationship. Same can be and should be done among us.Please reconsider proxy war as it also never succeeds in countries which share borders. It spills over and can be turned around against those who were previously controling it.
Such countries have only one solution called 'political compromise' but only IF & WHEN they realize.
A wise man told me that if you can't be a friend to someone any longer, don't make him your enemy. Resort to diplomatic ties and minimize your interference on each other's interest. Add to that, find new areas for cooperation.
EU learned this after centuries of wars and 2 WORLD WARS, why can't we after 4 wars? I think both our countries don't learn from history. Instead of creating a sound SE bloc, if we remain divided, people will send drones, weaken our economy, dictate their terms. And we are so naive that we buy the weapons from same countries....and we end up being part of the joke. Forget cooperation if we can't do, become indifferent.
I hate many chinese posters but I really like their country's stance. They have developed a robust economy and military that they can get anything they want and live in peace and prosperity.
