Few points to note here :-
- Yes, I have had dealings with Polish in UK and they do have a problem with being tolerant but no more then Pakistani people. And they are not all racist.
- This is a rescue operation. If it's about making profit then don't bother even launching a operation because your never going to make a profit. So citing costs is ridiculous propostion. You either do it on humanitarian basis or don't bother.
- These cases do not happen every day. Whenever Pakistan is on the news it is invariably for bad reasons, terrorism, radicals, murders, political instability, etc etc. This time again it is on news. This offers Pakistan to come out looking good. Countries spend millions on their image. Doing good and make media headlines for something positive is worth doing.
- But like I said if you guys want to keep up the "bad Pakistan" perception by all means don't rescue the mountaineers and insist on $$$. That should make Pakistan filthy rich. I am sure we will make billions of dollars from this "rescue industry".

No the reason n concept is misunderstood by you.@Kaptaan I agree that rescue should be on humanitarian basis but these very countries deny us that rescue technology which will be used on humanitarian basis. It will take not more than 24 hour flight to send a rescue team from Europe but every one knows who ever is going up there is going to die and OP has it that Pakistan has sent men to die or try. European should be happy that few Pakistanis will die along their men as well. So don't need to complain any more.
I have dealt with them and sorry I can't agree with you at all due to my experience

It is not about the profit at all but only for the costs incurred. If an expensive helicopters gets destroyed in the process who is responsible? so it is about recovering the costs only. Tourists are not treated at taxpayers and that is why they have to even arrange travel insurance to secure visa.

No matter..what ever Pakistan does....the racist people in western media will never admire our role...can you please recall when was the last time any of them admired any Pakistani effort... so better get money and secure your assets.

If these any nationality tourists or person gets trapped due to a security issue then thats governments job to save him.
But if someone comes out on a leisure trip or adventure visit then he gets trapped or stuff then its his responsibility. He should bear expenses to everything.
Do you know how much a rescue mission costs? They dont come cheap.
Main issue in such missions is not only finances but the "possible LOSS of HUMAN LIFE"
Why would we lose one of our citizens whether civilian or military guy after someones adventure fetish?
Does anyone even know how pakistani army has a magnanimous history of rescuing these climbers in riskiest locations WHEN ITS NOT THEIR BLOODY JOB.
kaptaan is a low life loser who will piss in his pants if allocated such task, would never have guts to leave his kids orphaned for a senseless expedition rescue mission n here he is talking tall cause of his love to lick western boots,
The french women is stuck at 6500 meter not feet but the polish man is higher. French women has been spotted by Pakistan Army. French women is in good state and can climb some way down. the rescue team has so far reached 5600 m and they will continue to climb in the night to them.the hikers are stuck at 6500 feet they are on a very thin line .. humans cant survive over 8000 feet
Few points to note -Thats not true. Our Eurocopter even landed on the Everest

Bud, I'm no fan of Kaptaan, but in this case human decency comes first. The rescue teams should go out immediately, and the entire process should kick in automatically. Let's help human beings in a life threatening situation.
The bureaucrats should argue the finances afterwards.
Oh, I think it is the job of the Pakistan military to rescue climbers in this situation. There is no other agency in this role.
