ISLAMABAD, June 5 (APP): Pakistan and Turkey on Tuesday pledged to diversify long term cooperation in the fields of security, defence, and education.This commitment was made during a meeting between Federal Defence Minister Syed Naveed Qamar and his Turkish counterpart Ismet Yilmaz held at the Ministry of Defence.
During the meeting, the Turkish minister highlighted excellent political, diplomatic and military cooperation existing between the two brotherly countries, with a commitment of Turkey to enhance the relations in future.Syed Naveed Qamar reciprocated similar sentiments to the Turkish delegation and thanked support and assistance provided by Turkey during floods, counter-terrorism operations, trade and investment in Pakistan,besides elaborate framework of existing cooperation in the realm of defence production, military training, joint military exercises and strategic level dialogues.
