Pakistan and Egypt look to joint production

. . .
Pakistan and Egypt look to joint production of Jf-17, there were news on it for quite a while now. There are more fields where joint productions can be achieved, just like India buying or co-producing weapons with Usrael which is seen as a bold Indian ingerance in middle eastern and mainly Muslim affairs, by sharing and coordinating its intelligence with the Mossad. Also it has proven to be unreliable when it tried to coordinate a raid on Pakistan's nuclear arsenal with Usrael, and also for its vote in the UN for the sanctions on Iran, without that vote no sanctions could have been imposed.

KSA, Egypt, Turkey and Pakistan are coordinating their efforts in response to Modi's India, and the facts I have just mentioned above. In other words India is siding with the West and Usrael to counter Islam, they all seem to have a historical fake animosity against it. unbelievable as it might seem but every country that has the bomb today says it is because someone else has it apart from the US who has started the whole deal and proliferated it to it allies, the ones who needs it and the ones who don't like England and France for example, who themselves have further proliferated it to India and Usrael respectively. Then when it comes to Muslims, even sharing civilian nuclear technology is looked at with utmost suspicion and called proliferation.

We can also talk about ISIS and fighting terrorism all over the Arab and Muslim countries, but both are creations of the west in coordination with Usrael and India again. Here is a tip: with no war in Iraq and no war in Afghanistan the only ones who were called terrorists and wrongly were the Palestinians _who were backed - only by words - by these Arabs and Muslim countries_, and their only target was Usrael aka the GOD of the west and seemingly India was converted too.

So, there is real danger looming around for Muslim countries, but Islam is greater than the dangers and can handle them by all means.

i think after the rafale and mig deal whether its 35 or M/M2 the JF-17 has a very small chance to join the EAF unless the commanders see something new on the upcoming block III of your plane and in that case egypt still looking for cheap plane to replace their F-7 and the very few Mig-21 that still in service

An interesting suggestion. Take your idea to the movie producers of Lollywood. I wonder if Pakistani and Egyptian movie producers got together, they might produce a hit movie.

A few off the cuff conversations over drinks......soft OR otherwise.

Mideast situation is evolving at a dizzying pace, we ALL must try and keep up. For now let us concentrate on this aspect first: How favorably do the current Egyptian commanders view Pakistan versus say... India, or Afghanistan? .....Some of these officers can recall the days when Egypt was friends with USSR and her clients circa 1969-1972. All I am saying is just be careful and keep it 'conventional'. Just sayin'
The Egyptians have come to us. We didn't go to them. First they will tell us their agenda and then we will think about it. Cold War 1.0 is over and Cold War 2.0 is just starting. The scenario is different now and we have to act according to current realities.

Search the net and you will find plenty of them. Although I am not a fan of Pakistani movies, there may be others on this forum who can guide you to some good hit movies.

The JF-17 would be a great addition to the EAF and to Egypt's military aviation industry if some form of coproduction with transfer of technology happens.

What it would provide the EAF is flexibility, while it will still be a 'second tier fighter'. While it was initially marketed (wrongly in my opinion) as being a cheap replacement for third generation aircraft its real selling point is the 'plug and play' concept. The ability to integrate western or eastern tech as per a customers request is really promising, for instance imagine a JF-17 with an Italian AESA radar or French avionics, or Russian IRST systems or recon pods. However, with the integration of more advanced tech the price of the fighter increases. It should theoretically provide the operator with a 'sanction proof' fighter.

Perhaps the most important thing for the EAF would be the ability to procure an array of Chinese and Pakistani cruise missiles, AShMs, stand off munitions, and precision guided munitions. Munitions that the US is always reluctant to provide to Egypt for our 16s.

The Rafale deal and the MiG/SU (whatever, it is I'm waiting till deliverey there's way too much misinformation and rumors) deals will not be sufficient to cover the number of aircraft retiring, assuming the EAF doesn't want to downsize (something I would actually be in favour of across the board in the Egyptian Armed Forces) and wants a one to one replacement for all its fighters. I would not be surprised if we sell some of our 16s and upgrade the rest in the coming years to B52, however, the lack of AIM-120 and AIM-9X on them is still a worry, although the matter of BVR will be dealt with by introducing the Rafale and Russian platforms, and potentially the JF-17 (SD-10).

Although I do believe the EAF and other forces are awaiting the Block III aircraft with the Chinese WS-13 (IIRC) and a twin seat variant (which should have been introduced at the beginning of export talk). Twin seat variants are especially important for the EAF as young pilots are paired with veteran pilots on the -16 (or older aircraft) until they move onto the F-16C. It may have not been very important for Pak but for others out there it's a necessity, no matter how how easy it is to fly.

@Horus @Oscar

Miss anything?

Hopefully this eventually leads to meaningful cooperation.

I think the deal never went through due to the issue of Russian engine used on JF-17, which if im correct (perhaps a more knowledgeable member can enlighten us) the Russians were reluctant to allow Pakistan and China to sell due to the loss of a potential customer (EAF).

Regarding the cruise missiles, the Chinese are more likely to sell Egypt one of those since they can get away with that kinda stuff like they sold ballistic missile and cruise missiles to Saudis, Iranians, Syrians, and even hezbollah has Chinese anti-ship missiles. Pakistan wouldn't be able to face any political repercussions from Americans or the West if it were to sell any type of missile technology.

i hope that it's better than indian movies because srs indian movies are the worst movies a human can watch Lol.
Yeah, indians tend to recycle the same story line in every movie or they just outright copy American films.

. .
I think cooperation in sectors other than defense is more important.

.
it is, look at the size of our forces, Combined they rank as 6th largest in the world.

Why do some people flout the news
because thats a defence forum.

the numbers yr getting r in very small of those aircrafts. JFT will come with Transfer of Technology and Domestic production. That means u can make yr own clones of it based on yr own needs, plus u can replace then easily if a unit crashes or r lost in wars in future. So see long term objectives.

Please, don't mistakenly end up watching those embarrassing Pakistani Punjabi films, those don't represent real Pakistani culture lol.
he can watch Waar.
