Sad to say, but this is a huge failure on Pakistan's part.

We have had over 80 people killed in an attack, that we know had linkages with NDS-RAW; and originated from sanctuaries in eastern Afghanistan. Yet, Afghanistan is playing hardball with us.

I think the reason why we haven't gotten tough with Afghanistan is because China, Russia want us to play nice with them. We have shown a lot of restraint against these Afghan mofos is because China wants stability in Afghanistan, and possibly views it as part of the broader geostrategic picture of expanding into Central Asia.

I do not see China or Russia outrightly condemning the Afghan government, sure they will be on Pakistan's side more than Afghanistan; but they want all parties to "be nice" to each other, and resolve issues amicably, and that is what has emboldened Afghanistan to take such anti-Pakistan measures.
