If you have lots of them especially with lots of extra batteries, then all you need is to keep one in the sky and camera on this thingy is good enough for monitoring the movement in the day. If some are lost, it is not that much of a worry, however should it be paired with some professional military UAVs with night vision and other advanced capabilities and long endurance.

It's really cheap method to monitor movements during day time.

These are the eyes. If you see some incursion then UCAVs, choppers and other assets can be directed towards the target. Eyes are important man....ask a blind man.
