Pakistan allows US to inspect Harpoons

Well l I suggest US officials can easily test our honesty.
They just need to climb upon a missile; go for a ride & see whether they are nearby land or not. Wherever they be lastly they be in the burning HELL

.
I think it would be better to invit the concerned (non)journalist from NYT and offer him the ride....

US confusion on Harpoon missile clarified: Naval Chief

Updated at: 1455 PST, Monday, September 28, 2009

KARACHI: The Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Noman Bashir, has made it very clear that Pakistan fully honours its international obligations, agreements and contracts.

“We do not violate these as this was our policy and principle in the past as is very much so today”, he said while replying to a question after the inaugural session of a conference held at a local hotel on Monday.

A reporter had asked about the American concerns regarding the alleged up gradation of naval anti-ship missiles.

The Naval Chief said that there was some misunderstanding regarding this which we have clarified.

“There was no such thing”, he remarked adding,”We honour our international obligations, contracts and do not violate these as this has been our principle”.

Admiral Noman Bashir said that misunderstandings sometimes are created inadvertently or at time deliberately.

“These have now been clarified and now there is no such issue”, he added.

This is where i like China atleast they dont demand clarifications nor we ever felt the need to give one.

Don't kid yourself. I'm pretty sure, they'ld as questions as well if Pakistan started to modify e.g. C-802s without their knowledge and (tacit) consent. Maybe not openly, but they would be all over you, and would get an answer, considering Pakistan's reliance on China for weapons technology.

Any ways issue is resloved and no more propoganda against Pakistan.

Ohh please! Pakistan never modified in the first place, it was nothing short of more BS from west.

.
next time the US blames us of modifying our F-16s into a alien spaceship we should allow them to inspect that!!!!...hell WHY NOT LET THE US INSPECT EVERYTHING WE OWN!!!!

.
Americans have already visited and now they have no momre argument
Issue is resloved and I think thread should be closed.

Friend i agree with you. Chinese technology far better than american technology. Am i right? Anyway i dont think america should tell pak what to do. They given pak weapons and its upto pakistan whatever they do with it. Cheers.

I agree with you......don't understand what is the issue here.

We want to select what wepons we want to be hit by and when ....this is absurd.Pakistan has brought wepons not display but to use it when and where they want to.US had no doubt on this when they were selling this to Pakistan nor do they have now.Why then the crocodile tears now its only coz they are trying to push some new stuff to india.

India must try to defend it self against all attacks and should be able to answer back so that no one is in doubt. Please don't cry and run to US arms saying ...we told you so.They know everything and this what they wanted to happen. In ten years time we must mordenise our forces as the best in the world and should not bother about what others do_Our silly politicians should learn to do their jobs with out corruption and stop cribbing.

"the west" ... now there's an accurate description. I think it was a NY Times article? That is a US newspaper? Who else was involved? Speaking of bs ....

Just look at claims rationally and disect them. Land attack capability was already available to Pakistan on Block 2 Harpoon. Ergo, the only possibly other issue would be opening up and modifying older Harpoons, independently of the US manufacturer. If that (contractual! business!) issue has been adequately resolved, what problem is there. Nothing to do with propaganda.
