The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has made significant advancements in recent years to enhance its capabilities. However, whether the PAF can effectively handle stealth fighters is a complex question.

Stealth fighters, like the F-35 or J-20, are designed to evade detection and intercept. Their advanced materials and designs minimize radar cross-sections, making them harder to detect.

PAF's current fleet and systems may face challenges in detecting and engaging stealth fighters due to their:

1. Radar limitations
2. Missile capabilities
3. Electronic warfare capabilities

However, Pakistan has:

1. Inducted the J-10C, which has some electronic warfare capabilities.
2. Upgraded its F-16 fleet with advanced radar systems.
3. Developed the BVR (Beyond Visual Range) missile, which can potentially engage stealth targets.
4. Invested in ground-based air defense systems.

To effectively counter stealth fighters, the PAF might consider:

1. Advancing radar technology
2. Enhancing electronic warfare capabilities
3. Integrating advanced missile systems
4. Developing strategic partnerships

A female officer of the Pakistan Air Force on duty onboard an Airborne Early Warning and Control System (AEWACS) of the PAF. AEWACS are designed to detect aircraft, ships, vehicles, missiles and other incoming projectiles at long ranges, as well as performing command and control of the battlespace in aerial engagements by informing and directing friendly fighter and attack aircraft. AEW&C units are also used to carry out aerial surveillance over ground and maritime targets, and frequently perform battle management command and control (BMC2). When used at altitude, the radar system on AEW&C aircraft allows the operators to detect, track and prioritize targets and identify friendly aircraft from hostile ones in real-time and from much farther away than ground-based radars.
