We have our modernization plans in motion already

40-50 JF17 Thunder fighter planes , 2011 , 300 JF17 thunders
2013 F16 MLU completion
36 J10B fighters 2015

So our fighters will be upgraded in due time , and we already have programs to update the avionics on the thunder

Not to mention the AWACs that we are getting in 2011

We are already a 100% improved force , by 2015 we will be in top shape

As they say 'better late than never' finally our politicians discovered that airforce is gettinng old. Luckily our military commanders realized that years ago and have been trying to take steps in the right direction. Now that the politicians are finally on the same page,things are more likely to improve.
Being cash strspped and low in resources for years has taught PAF to make the most of whatever they got,adapt and improvise.These three qualities cannot be taken for granted.
The proof is in the pudding,if PAF was such a crumbling old useless force,many countries of the world had sent planes to destroy pakistan's nuclear establishment,.like they did to iraq and syria. If they are not doing it,something must be stopping them from entering our airspace with aggressive intentions? I suspect its PAF who somehow keeps the 'young n powerful' airforces at bay.

Standing Committee Asks for Additional Funds to Modernize Pakistan Air Force

Standing Committee of Senate on defense has said that Pakistan Air Force needs funds from the Ministry of Finance in order to replace the obsolete and ancient systems in its service.

Committee has recommended that Ministry of Finance should issue appropriate funds to ensure that PAF can replace the ancient fighter jets which are 30 to 40 year. Committee also shown the satisfaction over the replacement of the A-5 fighter jets with the JF-17 Thunder fighter jets and noted that both Mirage-III/V and F-7P/MP also needs immediate replacement.

Buddy do you think your posts are worthy to be answered logically when their isn't anything logical in your posts. Well if you believe what you said then ask your Air force to send all of it's mig21's against Pakistan and see the result for yourself. our air force dont need your permission , what to do and what'nt , ok tell me which plane do you have to take on mig 21 bisons , which is upgraded with BVR capability and mainly it can carry pyton5 (of israel)

Let me remind you that in the past F6 and sabres did handle your Mig21's. The Bison is short legged point defence fighter. PAF is not going to attack your airfields with fighterjets cause there are superb alternatives like Ra'ad, Babur or Nasr. If LCA was to replace Mig21 Bison, and LCA is replaced by MRCA or many other upgrades then how come your Mig21 is better then a lot waht PAF has...?
