yea in Afghanistan they would have downed 1000 planes till now as they only need stones ,by the way it was downed by shoulder mounted weapon last thing i have checked both planes were super sonic and one was short down on its way back.Also two times there was stand off one one in 2001 and second after 2007 .

Not supersonic on those peaks dude, if I remember correctly, IAF had to retrofit several armaments and tactics to engage targets on those peaks. Afghanistan is no where comparable to kargil when it comes to fighter ops. IAF undertook 1900 sorties or so in that engagement.

Check out the mirage attack video. Check the speed at it's minimal and the height which is almost parallel to the heights of the peaks.
