First of all the whole point of the UN is to solve situations like these and second of all if Pakistan went 2 km into so called Indian Territory I doubt the Indian army would have responded the same way (or lack off) as they did with the Chinese. No need to fire a bullet when the other side’s not going to do anything.

So what does that tell you? Let me spell it out. Pakistan is a smaller and insignificant country and will be treated that way till the time it gets its act together. China on the other hand is a country which needs to be treated equally. Also, they clearly haven't in the recent time shown any indication of using any force and should thus be replied in kind. Anyways trying to deflect from the topic by bringing in China everytime speaks a lot about how much you guys believe in your country's capabilities and your ability to defend them.

I'll say this much, god forbid this spills into a bigger conflict between Ind/Pak, China is not going to interfere, and certainly not in aid of the Pakistani military.. China/Russia/US.. all of them will be trying to douse the fire to prevent a global catastrophe, they're not going to take sides apart from vetoing proposed unsc resolutions, the cold war is gone, no more big daddy US for pakistan, and we don't need Russian intervention to stop a pro pakistan US carrier battle group anymore, because there is no pro pakistan US carrier battle group that will get involved now

If Pakistan keeps firing back there is going to civilian casualty on the other side. India is ok with that, then that's their prerogative.

In 1947 Kashmir was ruled by Maharaja Hari Singh, which was reluctant to sign accession with Pakistan as well as India. But as decided as per the accession rules the majority Hindu states were to go with India and Muslim majority with Pakistan. Hence Hyderabad and Junagarh went to India despite Muslim rulers and Hindu majority. But in Case of Kashmir due to eagerness shown by Pakistani Generals, they attacked Kashmir through Kabaili Aggression. Which forced Maharaja of Kashmir to rush a treaty with India. Which brought India in picture. India repulsed the Aggression from the outskirts of Srinagar and annexed 70% of Kashmir. Due to the treaty with Maharaja of Kashmir India demands your part of Kashmir which Pakistan annexed with force. By annexing 70% Kashmir due to mistake of Pakistani Generals which never ever come to India we claim victory of 1947.

Now 1965 when Pakistan decided after Indian defeat in war of 1962 with China, it is the good time to finish the business of Kashmir, when India was at it weakest. Pakistan attacked Kashmir and was able to grab some 250 Sq.Km. of the territory. But at that time India crossed the International Border in Punjab and Sindh and captured some 800 Sq.Km. in Punjab and reached on outskirts of Lahore, which Pakistan Army gallantly defended. If war carried on for 10-15 days more Pakistan which was fast depleting in war resources would have been completely defeated. Hence this also turned victory for India. (Please research some good independent source to verify the war story of 1965).
