Pakistan, Afghanistan deploy tanks as fencing dispute escalates

. If you are a Pashtun/Pukhtun you must be knowing that the money is for arrangements like wedding fest and entertain the guests. That too the custom was in some areas not all.

yes khoray. i sure know that. But does it really matter's where the money is going ? No.

I mean' our daugters are our responsibility . Why would we need to take money for the arrangements of there weddings ?
And sure i live 7 km's away from the famous Mahajar camp "jalozi camp".. so i know them from more depth.

Here is where the money goes.

For a normal girl "wedding *i would say* " his family take 5-6 lakh i.e; 500-600 thousand PKR. from which normally 100 thousand goes for the Dowry. they don't make any jewelry any well-categorized furnitures . and normally 50-60 thousand goes to the guests entertaining's. As there wedings are simple so they don't call 100's of peoples.

So normally the total cost sum up say in 200 thousands. so where the other money goes ? My neighbor built an extra room in there home from "that type of" money. here in my town they used to say "falaan banday kay ghar me 4 truck kary hay" .. tab mujhy samj nahe aati the. ab pata chala kay wo unki 4 betya hoti the. qunky mere town kay aksar muhajir apni betyo ko bech kay truck le chukay hay or goods companies chalaty hay and this trend is still going on.

And 2nd, if this money is for arrangements and not any "selling money" ,then why they permanently cutoff there daughters from them self's ?

@Samandri . yes sir. i do know. but i hope my this post will help me in conveying what i have seen throughout these previous 24 years in my life.

Kiya Nani amma ki yaad dila key sara mood kharab kar diya

mera irada be kuch aesa he tha.. :D

I wouldnt say I am surprised that even here army solved this skeleton government's problems but isnt this really getting way out of hand?

I mean how much more is NS going to fail? Every kind of problem here and he leaves for turkey seeking advisory services? A trip that will end up another 20k from pakistan's pocket into his hand in form of a designer ring?

If Pakistan was a man and I slapped him real hard would it actually fight back or smile and present the other cheek? That only looks good in holy books not reality..

You live in Netherlands, tell me the truth, how do you people on the airport treat you when they see your Pakistani or Afghan passport? Bravado aside we are both a 3rd world country.

I've heard this before from some Pakistani doctor friends who hated traveling on their Pakistani passport due to obvious reasons back around 2002 and onward.

But looking at the future right now, I can pretty much guarantee you, in the next 5 years, there will be a transformation on how Pakistani passport will be looked at. 10 years from now, they'll get similar treatment like the Indians get today.

Today, around the Eastern seaboard of the US (like Florida, Georgia, etc), the Brazilians are considered "rich people" who come to the US and buy homes here for investment on Cash. Specially Florida's economy, which runs a LOT on money from Brazil, and some other South American countries doing real estate investments into the US. Just like the Brazilians are considered "Rich", the Indians and Chinese are considered "Smart" in terms of their education, high tech labor and all. So ten years from now, the Pakistanis will be in some category.

The Pakistani nation just has to let go of their political differences, form a nation and grow economically and work hard. The pay off isn't too far!!

NDS the Afghan intelligence unit had him in sight for a couple of weeks, based on their intel and Afghan APU ( partnered unit) which are Afghan special forces and with US SOF, raided the compound, killed the Afghan Talis holding him ( most likely Haqqani group). Flew him to Kabul, provided him medical care and handed him to Pakistan ambassador next day.
Source of your story?

.
They will never treat you as equal.

my grand mother is a Pakistani Punjabi and she faced discrimination based on her faith, people in us actually moked her religion in front of her 100s of times.

ISLAM IS BOOGIEMAN FOR WEST SINCE 60S

good to know that u r in us as well, where do u love ?
i m from East Cost, Boston.

Grand father (Kashmir i rajput) immigrated here in 60s.

I am confused by your post. I personally know many people who are Muslims, Sikhs and all. Outside of a few things here and there, they've rarely complained. The US is NOT like India, minorities here can do anything they want to, without worrying about if they ate beef, they'll be killed. That ONLY happens in India.

I don't know the story of your grand mother. But I do know hundreds of successful Indians (including my employees) and Pakistanis and Chinese and Israelis, who ALL Came to the US with their religion and culture and worked hard. Today, they are ALL very successful people and have started business from small to billion dollar companies.

If I was to take your post towards Pakistani, well, there are people who won't say it to your face probably, but they hate Indians too and know our jobs got stolen from us to India. So what do you say to that? You'll always have some people like that. There is a LOT more racial crap all the way to murders in India, then it is in the US. If I was a minority member, I would hands down live in the US then living in India, period. And I've heard this from Sikhs and Muslims from India alike, who moved to the US. So PLEASE, focus on India than crapping on the US for no reason.

I Think Passport power has nothing to do with How a country is doing economically . Countries like Namibia , Swaziland have Visa on arrival for UK but China , Turkey , Russia etc dont . Same with schengen visa when several middle income african countries can visit schengen visa on arrival even though they are not as rich or economically well off than PK.

With regards to PK and its passport its all about perception . Till 2009 we used to come to Malaysia visa free not the case anymore . Before 9 /11 my Dad got a schengen visa in few days .

Even a super power like China has a weak passport and offers only 50 countries on arrival even India has more than them . It's mostly based on mutual agreements between the two countries and the type of relations you have with them .

You questioned my post and then ANSWERED it yourself!!!. You are right, its an issue with perception. Bad perception exists. So what changes it? Economic growth. Slowly slowly, a modern Pakistan is seen when it grows economically and does business with the world. The typical perception goes away and things ease up. When you form strategic bonds with nations (like let's say, you somehow become France's second largest or the largest trading partner in multiple directions), things would ease up. Like how India and US are. Or even the US and UAE are.

So a strong economy is the ONLY tool the world knows you by. If every day, let's say in all news, there are news about Pakistan's economy or market being the top 10 performers......as a listener, what do you think about Pakistan? A top country right? So when you meet people from there, your brain has ALREADY registered what you saw on media (a top performing economy or market) so you're behavior will change. Like Indians, I've met some very sharp and some not so sharp. But a typical American dude finds out that a person is from India, and he immediately puts him or her into a "highly educated and smart" category. Same goes for the passport powered by the economy that runs in the background in people's minds.

Which is why I keep saying, end this old school politics of sit-ins, violence, and all. That's what the media shows about Pakistan. Let's grow the economy and let the media tell everyone that investing in Pakistan means a lot of return due to their growth economy (a tolerant modern country, similar to the image Turkey has).

So trade and economy are the ONLY two most successful tools to turn nation's outlook and image in front of other countries. Remember, India was in Russian camp, a little over 2 decades ago. Today, the US is passing a law that says India and Indians will be given equal status to that of Americans. That's a HUGE step in two decades of good partnership.

Pakistan can achieve a better perception if the nation works hard enough, keep peace, stability and economic growth as the highest priority and these third class politics and violent / intolerance are removed from the society!

afghans Pustuns are vicious warriors will cut their enemies in pieces

Yes thats y before russia ruled them nd now america a nation which can do anything for A FEW DOLLERS the real pastuns live our side of border if afghans cross the border then we ll see who cuts who in pieces just dare it I wanna see what have u got accept for bla bla bla

India has built a fence along the LOC, if say Afghanistan was to build one on it's side, i doubt Pakistan would have objected so Pakistan has every right to exercise it's policy within it's own border. As for the threat of tanks, well, this is how the PAF believes giving a warm reception.

This is a public forum not your father's farm .

You don't own the site , so stop pretending . The site has no rules that says only Pakistani users are allowed . Either follow the site rules or get out.

Ouch.....why you're so angry? Whenever you troll us, you'll get engaged and have a response, just like you've got now...

Oh yes....I own this site. It is my father's farm too. Any problem? I have been member of this forum when you were not even born. So, don't lecture me.

:D.....:enjoy:
