Actually the temple falls in the jurisdiction of the Pakistan Hindu Association, basically a collection of Important Pakistani Hindus who took the responsibility of maintaining temples from the govt back in the 60s. So it's not the government's responsibility in actual case.

Then please don't do it. In India we have temples run both under trusts and Govt. The Govt doesn't interfere in the running of the temples run under trust.

I am all for the reconstruction of Babri Masjid but will you in return help rebuild all the temples destroyed by Pakistanis as a knee jerk reaction to it.

Just out of curiosity I am asking this since you have already derailed the nice going thread.

Why do muslims require a Masjid as there are no idols inside and I have seen most of the muslims offering Namaj on streets/roads/parks while facing towards Mecca. So, if that can be done this way then why Masjid? Enlighten me please.

Actually the pond restoration has started and is funded by one of the cement factories of the area. IT also has another angle, I myself belong to the area and visited last month. The people in Katas village and surroundings were not happy with the pond drying as the visitors coming their for the pond and temples bring them business/earnings. there are a few small hotels, shops and other settlements which depend upon the tourists.So they are happy now with the rebuilding.

Mosques are (or are supposed to be) more than just prayer places, they are supposed to be community centres. Schools, free langars, shelters are all integrated inside the mosque. However, not many people understand the spirit of it and just keep building mosques for the heck of it.

Aren't you the same person who calls China as their best ally and don't question or raise voice against the demolition of msque by them just on the basis of some technicality.

Its easier to critisize, rahter than taking some good efforts. No wonder we are still stuck in past and not thinking of making an effective SE union for collaborative and sustaining growth.

I am not asking to decrease the threat perception, just asking moving forward while being cautious.

Blind nationality is the biggest problem of both our country which Wests got over after centuries of war. They have independent policies yet they stand beside each other when stability of one is concerned due to inter related ties at every front even if we leave out defense.

A crime is a crime. First learn to accept it. If demolishment of Babri Masjid is a crime, so is the demolishment of that Lahore temple.

Also to the best of my knowledge Babari Masjid was also abaondened until the Ram Janma Bhoomi protests intensified and it was not a cultural center as you make it to be.

Good gesture By Pakistan. I think its a 'must' to let every hindu & non-muslim know about this praiseful act by Pakistan.

But IMO the hindu temples or gurudwaras in Pakistan belongs to Pakistani minorities others should not interfere or make conclusions about them. Because we indians are not THEHEDAARS of Hinduism we are responsible for whatever that happens within our borders.
Restoration of religious place in other nations should definitely be praised diplomatically but not be judged as it is not of our concern.
