In this case mehanga roye bar bar bar
Even the usa get cheap stuff from china , not crap . Point in case iphone if it were crap do u think people would still buy it. U hosse what u want from china , the main word being u

Congrats to Pakistan Railways a delayed arrival of Locomotives
GE have a good reputation should have got 100 locomotives

Why not locomotives from India...They are also with good quality and much cheaper than U.S.A.

it might be of the topic. but PR should change his colour scheme now.... atleast on locomotives

@Topic
anyone can tell which model will be procure by PR?

 forget about Bharat mata for once.
Emotions don't mix sound with business so keep them separate.
U.S.A buys many parts from China due to cheap products.. Few months ago Even sungroup of California(U.S.A) has shown interest in China railways .SunGroup spokesman Jonathan Sun said, SunGroup, CNR and Tangshan Railway had been working together for four years.Sun said an initial order would probably be about 18-20 trains and that they would open a factory to make the trains in California if they won the bid, as required by U.S. law. Tangshan produces high class locomotives.
China may have edge in race to build California's bullet train

While
Malaysia bought around 39 YDM4 from India, they are satisfied with the quality.

We could ask for WDP 4D which is 4500hp, or WDG/5500hp and much powerful. Or had other choices if we don't want powerful locomotives I. e >= 3000 hp..
But we went for much costly product. We are rich nation I guess.

The Pakistan Railways (PR) Saturday signed an agreement with General Electric (GE) USA to procure 55 locomotives.

So this time they are getting locomotives from USA instead of China.

I wrote about this a few weeks ago that GE was in talks with the Pakistani government on a few projects, including the energy infrastructure.

This is the first project GE's taken over, expect more project and investments. GE has been focusing a LOT on creating and implementing entire portfolio of energy infrastructure, whether it be Solar, Wind, Nuke, Oil and Gas Exploration to Cleansing and then Delivery. So I'd expect a few more bigger projects going to GE and probably require US's investment. This is just the tip of the ice berg I believe. Which is GREAT for Pakistan.

How are the railway passenger services in Pak?

Is it more like India - which is creeping and crumbling or like China?

Is it subsidized?

Nobody beats German and specially U.S.A, U.S.A is creator of many things and whole world just follows it, And about GEs, one have to look it's heavy price , maintenance, duty and feasibility ... I already mentioned even U.S.A purchases many things from China due to cost benefit analysis.
I wish we get good staff to take care of it, but loading 14 coaches for place of 10 coaches, result will remain same. I wish we get some parha likha staff there and avoid mismanagement.
Do some search about their locomotives ,Endurance and feasibility. .. If Malaysian are happy with quality , and the choices you get according to engine power and w.r.t. price, power, quality, we just missed the deal ...... I say!
What do you expect from king style obsessed Khawajas ...
Awaam ka paisa hai. .who cares!

It is getting better, reaching destination on time but still long way to go. I. e Green line train is providing free WiFi services to passengers.

But this is not new train, train with different name in different time, now they called it green train service with WiFi addition , improved meals and some renovation . ...Key point is that it is reaching destination on time distance app 1500km.
Passenger service is improving.. Average : Medium
Yes it is subsidized !
