In yet another evidence of Pakistan's flip-flops, Islamabad [ Images ] has for the first time admitted that it has not handed over any dossier regarding Baloch insurgency to India.

In an interview with Outlook magazine, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, in an apparent volte-face, said Pakistan actually never handed any dossier to India during Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's [ Images ] meeting with Yousuf Raza Gilani [ Images ] on the sidelines of the NAM summit at Sharm-el-Sheikh in July.

'No, we didn't. Actually, we flagged the issue on Balochistan. We asked for a positive attitude and asked for non-interference inside Balochistan,' The Nation quoted Qureshi, as saying.

While Islamabad, till now, has continuously been claiming that it has handed a dossier to India regarding latter's involvement in the Baloch insurgency, New Delhi [ Images ] has out rightly rejected the claims.

Following Pakistan's 'baseless' claims, the UPA government faced severe criticism from the opposition for allowing some damaging concessions to the neighbouring country.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had to clarify the government's stand in parliament and he said that no such dossier was given by Pakistan during the meeting in Egypt [ Images ].

"No dossier on Balochistan has been handed over to me," Dr Singh said during his speech during the monsoon session of the Lok Sabha.

Trying to corner the government over the alleged 'sell off' to Pakistan in Egypt, senior Bharatiya Janata Party [ Images ] leader Yashwant Sinha [ Images ] alleged that India had committed a blunder by agreeing to de-link action against terror by Pakistan to the resumption of the composite dialogue.

Pakistani media had described that the Baloch dossier's claims as true and added that it had been presented to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh with details of India's alleged role in fomenting trouble in Balochistan and other areas.

According to the Pakistani media, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani himself mentioned the dossier's existence.

WTF is going on....... Can you please give the link?

So whole episode of Egypt goes to dustbin for Pakistan now.:smokin:

And we can say again "See we told you we are not involved. No proof has been provided"

Yeah, it does go into the wastebin, but do you actually think any Pakistani really believed that their was a dossier???

They all know there was none, It was a textbook propaganda exercise by GoP had all the proper ingredients - Media report quoting unnamed official, No confirmation or official denial and and this forum generally sticks closely to the official lines to create a cyber media hype along with the print and television.

there are several similar incidents which one should not even bother confronting, words can always be twisted and meanings changed.

This (twisting of words and context) is the only reason why the word Islamist has come closer to the word terrorist in modern dictionaries.

Ofcoz not literally :azn:.

There will be close to 80 pages on the thread with this false news and the denial will be soon closed because there will be some inflammatory comments.
Did you not see how a latest Kashmir thread suddenly made the moderators reply that there are too many threads on topic and it was split in three, just because the discussion turned to "No Independence clause in UN referendum". e

Simple aint it.

here's what happened.....

India’s record in Balochistan ‘open book’, PM tells Gilani

New Delhi, July 17 (IANS) “Our conduct is an open book,” Prime Minister Manmohan Singh told Pakistani Premier Yousuf Raza Gilani when he brought up the issue of India being “active” in the restive Balochistan area.
During the hour-long talks between the two leaders in Sharm-el-Sheikh Thursday, Manmohan Singh discussed the issue of terrorist acts “aided, abetted and inspired from Pakistan”.

And Gilani countered it by mentioning India’s alleged involvement in Pakistan’s western province of Balochistan bordering Afghanistan.

“He said in our country people say India is active in Balochistan. (looks like gilani reads conspiracy theories on :pdf: ) And I said our conduct is an open book,” Manmohan Singh told reporters in Sharm-el-Sheikh after his talks with the Pakistani leader.

“We are willing to discuss all issues because we are doing nothing,” the prime minister said.

“… and I said to him that I have been told several times that Indian consulates in Afghanistan are engaged in undesirable activities,” Manmohan Singh said, adding that these consulates had been set up “way back in the 1950s”.

“But if you have any evidence, we are willing to look at it because we are an open book, we have nothing to hide. We are not afraid of discussing any of these issues,” the prime minister said.

In a surprise inclusion, Balochistan found mention Thursday in the joint statement as an issue between India and

Pakistan.

“Prime Minister Gilani mentioned that Pakistan has some information on threat in Balochistan and other areas,” :disagree:
the document stated.

It was the first time that Balochistan has been referred to in any joint declaration between the two countries.

However, there is no mention of Kashmir anywhere in the one-page document.
