Pak infiltrator killed in BSF firing

Sri Ganganagar: A Pakistani was shot dead by the Border Security Force personnel near international border here when he was trying to infiltrate into India, official sources said.

According to the sources, the man shot dead late Sunday night by a BSF patrolling party when he was crossing over the international border.


The Pakistani, carrying firearms, threatened to attack the BSF jawans after he was asked to surrender.


In self-defence, the personnel fired at him and the man died on the spot, they said, adding that police have taken the body into custody and sent it for post mortem.

We should place electronic sensors in all of the borders. Imagine how many terrorists / smugglers could slip in by the virtue of human limitations.

I believe this is already in use- thermal imaging, radars, seismic sensors etc but these devices are VERY expensive and so take a long time to deploy along the entire bordor and the border is HUGE!

They are not celebrating th edeath of an innocent Pakistani but a Pakistani who had intentions of KILLING Indians and innocents. Frankly you should be doing the same, unless you condone that sort of behaviour?

What has Karkare got to do with this - an incident of an infitrator (possibly smuggler or terrorist as he was armed) being shot down after being warned as it is the very job BSF is paid to do ?

or what if It will be peaceful border, like Indo-Nepal ... The cost will go low if other side stop infiltration... That money can be used for bilateral development...
