Let me say something up front. Pakistan is not going to kill Afghan Taliban for the sake of it or for the sake of Americans, Indians, or even Afghan government. It's not our policy to kill Muslims. We helped Afghan people in the past beyond our capacity to protect their freedom and dignity. Brave Afghan people sacrificed massively but were able to push the invaders out of their borders. Unfortunately, but not unexpectedly, Afghanistan is still in turmoil. And Afghan rulers keep venting their anger and desperation against Pakistan from time to time. What Afghan government needs to do is genuinely initiate an intra-Afghan reconciliation process and steadfastly follow the course. At least two Afghan generations were raised under the gun barrels. How can you expect of them to throw their guns and start following the red lights on roads in Kabul without any effort on the part of those who have the power, understanding, awareness, and vision. Unfortunately current Afghan rulers lack these latter three qualities. They desperately want Pakistan to cut it short for them by killing Afghan Taliban. We are sorry. We cannot simply do that. Afghans need to sit down and sort out their issues peacefully without any external influence, especially from the enemies of Islam (read Hindus and the people of the Book). How many more Muslims in Afghanistan and Pakistan need to be sacrificed before our leaders would understand the enemy's evil game? I am sure you don't know. But in the meantime, the work on CPEC will continue in full swing. I agree with Afghan ambassador in Pakistan that CPEC is as much relative/beneficial to the region (Afghanistan and Central Asia) as to Pakistan. Once there is peace in Afghanistan, Afghans are welcome to benefit from it. But don't try acting as minion for Indians. It's against the dignity of Afghans. But the idiots like Karzai, Abdullah Abdullah, and Ashraf Ghani have turned Afghans into Indian minions. Try to rediscover your real worth. It's not money (that Indians are throwing like master throws bones to his dog). It's the dignity. You are the nation that has never been ruled by others. Why then your leaders are licking Indian feet?I am not an indian but from an Afghan perspective what is important is that China uses whatever leverage it has on Pakistan that it changes her policies vis-a-vis Afghanistan [ which means stop supporting Afghan Taliban and other militant groups] and we see CPEC where China will invest massively as increase that leverage that China will carry with Pakistan.
We in Afghanistan see CPEC is a good omen for the region and we would like to be part of it and we fully support Chinese OBAR vision but you do realize that unless Pakistan changes her policies vis-a-vis militants which wreck havoc in Afghanistan this region will be distalized, Chinese border regions will be destabilized.
