Pak High Commissioner Abdul Basit rubbishes Indian surgical strike claims

Numerous. Ask any diplomat who returns about being shoved around, jostled, tracked by goons, having their social meetings with Pakistanis spied upon, having motorcars and motorcycles driven dangerously close to remind them that their stepping outside the High Commission's gates is not welcome. If you are unaware of the horrific behaviour of Pakistanis security services, go and find out. Ask.
And RAW I suppose does not indulge in any of this.

You're mistaken. He's in India, not in Pakistan.
That is what I fear.

Joe in your attempts to project Hindia as some sort of Shangrila , you are beginning to embarrass yourself...a friendly word of advice, cut it out old chap.Kudos old boy

I shudder for the patients of Chicago, particularly the mental patients. Could you not, even at this late stage, spare humanity and turn your obvious talent to the veterinary science instead?

I should think it ironic that you are saying of others that they display a pattern of excessive attention-seeking emotions, usually beginning in early adulthood, including inappropriately seductive behavior and an excessive need for approval. If it sounds familiar, that is fine, but it is inappropriate to apply the same to the rest of the world - especially those who are not in early adulthood.

Please do some more research then wiki-pedia before posting. Its a personality disorder and has nothing to do with age. In fact, it becomes more severe with age. I can't help it if you are having trouble understanding that. Come see me if you happen to visit Chicago sometime. I would gladly refer you to a physiologist.

I understand where are you coming from, but its not even the same as what is used for Pakistanis in Britain. That might be a short form but that might have an undertone of an insult owing to racist attribution. However, the one we are referring to about Indians/India here is a 'proper' respect word which for some reason has off putted very rational people around here, which is not only surprising but very insightful as well about the kind of relationship we Indians and Pakistanis have

You have my solemn word on this - that word for India is totally not insulting. I for one, in my childhood, used to envy Indians for having 'identity' in more than one languages, only to grow up to see this!

So, if I were the judge, I would have hard time affixing blame on the user just because someone gets offended by a certain proper word. However, the intentional continuous usage (of any word) before a person who is getting visibly offended is also not polite. So my verdict would have been - it is unethical in such cases but not illegal otherwise hence cannot have a blanket judgement barring use of it

Moreover, I personally survive by filtering out the inadequacies of certain people in their communication and focus on the substance. Let's try that.

This is the most reasonable response I have got so far, and I think it worth serious consideration by all Indian members. I, for one, shall take the concluding sentence as a useful signpost and proceed from there.

Thank you for the point of view. Others have also articulated it, no one has tried to disentangle it from the seabed weeds and let it float freely.

And RAW I suppose does not indulge in any of this.

No. R&W is not authorised to act within the country.

And as for your silly second point, that counts as a self-goal. That is precisely the difference, that is precisely what in your place I should have concealed very deep; such an incident makes India take action, apprehend the culprits, prosecute them and apologise. In Pakistan, where such incidents have happened often, there is bland denial. That is the difference. We observe the rule of law; where it is breached, it is seen as a breach, not as an exercise of sovereign will. We observe our treaties; you break them. We are civilised members of the comity of nations; you, it seems, are determined not to be.

That is indeed what I would apprehend, that I would be referred to a physiologist. It is interesting that this has nothing to do with age, and becomes more severe with age. Perhaps that sums up the story of your clinical readiness.

Atleast in your case it does. As for other illnesses that you might have would require me to see your labs and few other mental exams. Looks like you aren't having a good day. The offer is still on. Wish you well!
You started this by calling me names, questioning my profession. Just because you have a problem with something that I have said which you couldn't specify and then resorted to questioning my vocabulary and then grammar? amazing. I would appreciate if you stop resorting to name calling and act your age. I hope this puts some sense in you and you stick to the discussion and stop being an old grumpy vocabulary and grammar specialist.:coffee:

So RAW does not spy on Pak diplomats in India lol what hogwash as for those thugs, I would not be surprised if they were part of RAW, I bet as soon as one of the culprits was arrested he was immediately released as soon as your police determined he was a RAW agent/goon on assignment, admit it this is most likely the truth old boy.Kudos
