Gen Kiyani wasn't really political, he actually laid the foundation of the PA's non-political attitude that was then carried forward by Gen RH and Gen Bajwa. He was quite averse to politics. He was just quiet and that's what lead to some people thinking that he was perhaps conniving or plotting all the time.

As for the the rise of militancy in Karachi and urban centers as a whole. Yes that is true but that would have happened no matter who was at the helm because the military strength was entirely committed to FATA and LOC which meant that Police had to step up their internal security game in order to curb the elements fleeing from those areas along with IDPs.

In some places such as Peshawar and Lahore, the Police was able to meet the challenge and they performed really well. Karachi Police however found its hands full and the large number of no go areas did not help them either, thus resulting in a rise of militancy in the city. It was further compounded by the MQM's criminal syndicate as well which turned it into a quasi-ethnic conflict.

As soon as things settled down in FATA, the military and paramilitary moved to stabilize Balochistan and Karachi.

He was too much quit he should have acted when haqqani threatened Pak security with memo gate he was politicized if u don't act when it was needed it means u are the party

Navy need to lead all armed forces and we need blue water capable navy to answer any adversary in time of need our Navy has been put by army as a donkey

Navy don't get any funds they buy old and retired stuff all the time

Best way to create extra funds for navy is to build merchant ships control all your sea trade and use only pakistani ships for trading both imports and exports plus provide services to neighboring countries .someone on this forum shared an article about how we spend 10 billion dollars every year on shipping charges for our trade if i am correct .Until the late 80s pakistan shipping corporation use to have loads of ships now the number is far less should i say next to nothing.
we need two different approaches one quick short term way to save money is we buy 2nd hand ships as its the perfect time to buy them as the shipping industry is going through a down time .
The long term approach is As we got good relationship with both china and south Korea we should start building industrial base for building merchant ships away from Karachi and start fast tracking the mous we have signed with Korea about creating a shipping industry . OMARA should be perfect place for this New shipping industry get Young guys trained from the age of 16 onward but for any INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION the government have to involve the private sector so in long run we fulfill both our own requirement and should easily get export orders.
With Chinese cooperation we need MADE IN PAKISTAN SLOGAN at least in HEAVY INDUSTRY to start with

So they are different as i said. I mean, it was a pretty obvious visual difference that is why i was pointing out.
