Pak-Bosnia discuss defence cooperation

One of my uncles (RIP) served in Bosnia in the 90s during the war.., I heard a lot about the war, massacre of our BOSNIAN brethren... We did train and equip them (apart from getting busted with 2 shipments which were confiscated - bound for BOSNIAN fighters).,, Hundreds of Bosnians were also settled in Pak... I guess it reminds us of what we went through in 47... So anything for Bosnia... @Osmanvic. Our doors are open for you brothers... Anything and everything.

It is so good to hear that people have such positive opinions for really small countries, Bosnia suffered a lot in last war.
Major problem is ethnic cleansing of Muslims in the war, unfortuatnely I can not put link, cause do not have enough posts.

Welcome to this forum....

Thank you brother, however I am a little bit dissapointed with these limits.

Keep posting......once you cross certain limit of posts, you will be able to post links......I became member on this forum not too long ago, initially i also was unable to post links but after crossing certain number of posts, may be after 26 or 30th post, i was able to post link, pictures, media......etc

Don't know what Bosnia's GDP is but looking at importance of good Air-force it makes sense that they order 25-36 JF17 thunders from Pakistan the soonest on a government to government planning

If I recall Europe made it hard for Bosnia to get defensive weapons in past

Their GDP is 17-20 Billion (after I checked) for small population of 6-7 Million , so don't see a problem with them purchasing a large order of 25-36 planes spread over 3-4 years

0 Fighter Jets in their airforce major problem

A JF17 Thunder + Al Khalid Tank combination would do them good modest amounts

  • 2 Sqadrons of JF17 Thunders
  • 200 Tanks

Brother! there is no point to lie. I have got two options,
1) Tell the truth.
2) Forego the opportunity by not submitting the docs.
In present times, getting a job like this is considered very lucky, but I am being forced by my family members including my mother to drop it. And I have no other choice except to oblige. Let's hope that I get a job elsewhere so I don't even feel the need to pursue it.

Believe you me that you had listened to your mother you are at the right path!
You will be successful in your life as you are an obedient child of your Mother. Whole world is going to open up to you just because you oblige your mother and let go a once in a lifetime opportunity. That's my experience and all you need to do further is just work hard and always be positive.

Pakistan should provide Bosnia with Al Khalid and jf 17 and also some fire arms to help the armed forces

Seems completely unrealistic that Bosnia would ever get the JF-17 (Al-Khalid tank, on the other hand, might be realistic). Bosnia's GDP is actually shown as 16.56 billion USD. But that's not what's important. You have to look at the GDP of the Federation of Bosnia (2.2 million people). If I am not mistaken the Federation's GDP is about 2/3rds of Bosnia.

Then you have the Republika Srpska (RS) (1.4 million people), an entity created and maintained through ethnic cleansing and genocide of Bosniaks. RS, if I got this correct, is about 1/3rd of the Bosnia's GDP. If it was just the RS, Bosnia would be fine, but the RS has the full backing of Serbia and, during the 1990s, had the de-facto backing of Europe because Bosnia's right to self-defense was denied through the embargo (at a time when the Serb army had the entire Yugoslav Army's weapons arsenal).

If there's to be another war, the most likely reason (by far) would be the RS declaring independence from Bosnia. In the last couple of years, there has been a lot of talk and threats from the RS that they would do this. Bosniaks have a problem with that because the land that the RS encompasses is territory taken over through war crimes against Bosniaks. A large number of the bodies remain unfound, scattered throughout the RS because their army hid their bodies.

Besides not having fighter jets, I suspect (although I don't know anything about military) Bosnian army's other problem is that their military is very small. I think for the entire country, the military is like 12-13 thousand. A portion of that is the RS army and another portion is the Croat army.
