No Sir, Mushshak doesn’t have ejection seats and a serious emergency demands a forced landing into any prepared or unprepared (kutcha) field. The problem with single engine propeller aircraft is that once your only engine packs up, chances are 50/50 if one can make a successful emergency landing into a field….

The downed MFI-17 was from PAF Academy on a navigation mission with an instructor and student on board. It’s assumed that engine failed and pilots tried to land in an unprepared field. Unfortunately, both pilots have suffered fatal injuries due to the impact.

God bless their souls

P.S: I learnt about the crash an hour back from a friend, I will put any further details if available…

very sad indeed! May Allah Bless their Souls!

Half news is no news, We are not interested in a machine which crashed but more important is the person/s survived or not.

May ALLAH (SWTH) bless their souls and grant Patience to the grieved Families of the Victims.

It was a Tragic Incident and we lost Two of our Great Men who were great asset to Pakistan.

The pilots got shaheed in this tragedy were
1.SQN Leader Usaman Safdar
2.AVIATION Cadet Zohaib Arshad

they were on normal routine low flying mission when the aircraft developed the fault the IP tries to land the aircraft but in this effort the aircraft hit the wapda high tension wires.

A little bit about zohaib as i know him personally
Zohaib a very friendly person has a great craze to join PAF . he was a student in PAF public school lower topa Murree .. i had the honour to spend 5 years with shaheed.. he was first selected for GDP but then decleared unfit n was doing aeronautical engineering in risalpur .. he left airforce n joined fast(uni) after that he agian applied in PAF as a GDP n got selected. Shaheed had a great love for flying and serving the country ..may ALLAH KEEP HIM IN PEACE ...AMIN

Final Farewell to our young hero Pilot Officer Zohaib who embraced shahadat in a fatal air crash on 5 March, 2009 while on a training mission…May God bless his soul and he rests in peace..
