Perhaps compatibility with NATO standards. Not that their systems would be inferior, just that it would be different from everyone else. Any aircraft including JF-17 would face same difficulty if it's not compatible. I think @gambit can elaborate it better as to what would happen when a non-NATO configured aircraft is flying in a Red Flag.

I understand what you mean.
Its to do with the difference of data feeds.
The MKIs werent compatible fully with the NATO systems that they were shown more like an enemy aircraft to friend and foe both because the data translation from AWACs sent to the fighters were totally incompatible.

PAF is too professional a force to do as such, remember there wasn't even any notification by PAF of participating.

However, just check some of those that PAF will be exercising with and against including F-22 and F-35.

I think there is a difference between the two.. Red flag is more comprehensive and covers almost all aspects of combat in a realist combat scernerio..

Green flag is more like a2g or a2a etc sort of ex..

Red Flag is the U.S. Air Force's premier air-to-air combat training exercise. Participants often include both United States and allied nations' combat air forces. The exercise provides aircrews the experience of multiple, intensive air combat sorties in the safety of a training environment.


Green Flag - West aircraft and crews fly from Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, in support of ground combat training at Fort Irwin (Barstow), California.

I really want JF-17s to participate in these exercises because American Jets V American Jets doesnt make sense. since JF-17s are goign to be the workhorse of PAF

Those JF-17 would have given those Draken A-4 Skyhawks a run for their money in WVR combat if not anyone else

The Israel Air Force will be taking part in the Red Flag advanced combat training exercise beginning Monday in the United States, along with additional aerial forces including those of Pakistan and the Emirates.
The advanced training exercise, during which fighter jets simulate combat involving coalition forces, will take place at the Nellis Air Force base in Nevada.
This is the second year in a row in which the IAF is participating in Red Flag.

In recent days photographers in the area, near Las Vegas, have filmed Israeli, Spanish and Pakistani aircraft in advance of the joint exercise. In addition, a transport plane belonging to the United Arab Emirates was also photographed, indicating that, as reported, that country’s air force will also participate in the exercise.
The Israeli plane that will be used in the exercise is the F-16I (the “Sufa,” or Storm). In footage from Nevada one can see that IAF jets belonging to three different Sufa squadrons were sent to the United States. Air and ground crews will also participate.
The Red Flag exercise is scheduled to end on August 26.

The IAF has for several months been planning its participation in the event, which necessitates a long flight from Israel to the base in Nevada, with a number of intermediate stops and aerial refueling.
Last year the air forces of the United States, Israel, Singapore and Jordan participated in the Red Flag. At the time it was reported by foreign sources that Israeli planes even refueled the Jordanian fighter jets in the air, on the way to the U.S.
“The Red Flag is the biggest and best simulation of war in the world,” one IAF officer said at the end of the 2015 exercise.
All of the squadrons participating are assigned to “red” and “blue” forces. They practice intercepting other aircraft, attacking targets, rescuing pilots and engaging in aerial activity under the ostensible threat of ground-to-air missiles.
Haaretz received no response when questioning Israel Defense Forces sources two weeks ago about the possible participation of Pakistan and the UAR in Red Flag.
At the time the IDF Spokesman's Office said only that, “The air force trains regularly in Israel and abroad in order to maintain operational fitness for various operational plans. The Red Flag exercise involves unique and high-quality training. When the IAF was invited to participate, it accepted the invitation.”
The source added that the same squadrons participating in the exercise this year did not participate last year.

Good share Sir. Just one question. Why is that only PAF and may be USAF to some extent uses the numbering system which shows the year of manufacturing on the bottom of vertical fin while cannot find any such marking on majority other Air Forces' aircraft.

That is because the basis for the current PAF was laid back in 1956; all of which was under the direction and training of the USAF. The only relic that the PAF carried over from the RAF is the GD(P) system, in everything else.. the PAF unlearnt all it had from its RPAF days to mirror USAF concepts of operations.

There is a thread that was made for whatever reason about PAF and USAF uniforms being the same, but it is not by accident; the PAF takes the USAF and to an extent the IDF as its training and organisation standard(at least they try to if not for the corrupt part that is present in all Pakistanis that leads to lax in performing duties and nepotism).

PAF still uses the British ranking system. Once the PAF switches to the Army ranking system and pronounces Leftenants as Lieutenants and Brigadiers as Brigadier Generals the transition will be complete.
