PAF to receive 6 F-16s Block 52+ on 13 Dec 2010

The contract was signed in 2005 and we'll be receiving the final batch by tomorrow. Can anyone let me know why it takes that long to deliver fighter jets. Another example is FC20 which PAF is expected to receive in 2014.

Wrong. Negotiation started in 2005 and i believe the contract was signed in 2007-08.

Good news....although i've always sustained that just 18 new F-16's is a big joke and we all know this very well. We need atleast 32+ blk52's if we want to have a capable defence. Then the people put in the case of budget...damn our politicians are doing corruption of billion dollars and we don't put some more cash for defence which is among the prime priorties of the nation?! i'm not asking for a big number but we have too use the option of another 18 blk 52 F-16's and then end this deal with U.S. We must focus on JF-17 and FC-20's now!
