KARACHI: The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has launched a rehabilitation plan for the flood victims in simultaneous ceremonies held in all the provinces under Regional Air Commands.

A PAF statement here on Sunday said that the PAF rehabilitation plan aims at providing free of charge construction of houses for flood affected persons who faced maximum devastation during the recent floods. These include areas in and around Mianwali, Daood Khel, Jacobabad, Dera Allahyar, Charsadda and Risalpur. PAF plans to construct over 600 houses and the project would be completed within four months.

The sites for the construction of the houses have been selected in consultation with the local civil administration and due attention has been paid for verification of ownership and damage assessment prior to undertaking the construction process.

The rehabilitation plan is being centrally controlled at Air Headquarters, Islamabad, under the supervision of Regional Air Commands, which will monitor the construction process and ensure timely handing over of the houses to the flood affectees.

The launching ceremony today marks the commencement of third phase of a comprehensive PAF plan to assist the flood victims.

Earlier in Phase-I, PAF rescued the stranded flood affected persons and provided them with relief goods. Subsequently in phase II relocated the victims to flood relief camps established by PAF at Sukkur, Bakhtiarabad, Mianwali, Pir Pathu, Jacobabad and PAF Academy Risalpur.

The plan is being launched under the directive of the Chief of the Air Staff who considers this as a small contribution of the PAF for our brothers and sisters who have been affected by the natural disaster. app

600 houses in 6 areas?

I guess if they would have focussed only on one or two area and built all 600 houses at the same place with better development project keeping in mind... It would be both cost effective and convenient for PAF.

Nevertheless, great job PAF, we are proud of you :pakistan:

Why PAF doing the things which are the responsibility of the government of Pakistan! Is there anyone thinking about impeaching Zardari yet?
