My father was GE drigh road in the early 80s....I back then was very young a small kid but have some vivid memories of sitting in the cockpit of Atlantic n a few fighter ac stationed their....good days those.

No. 24 ELINT Squadron based at Peshawar

No. 24 Squadron was unique in the sense that it was raised as part of that compromise, manned by both US and Pakistani aircrew, and had aircraft on strength that were Pakistani- and US-owned.

The squadron was raised on 5 Dec 1962, with Sqn Ldr Mohammad Iqbal as its first OC and with a skeleton staff of pilots, navigators, and maintenance crew. The squadron was equipped with two specially modified RB-57Bs (S/N 52-1536 and 52-1573) between Dec 1962 and Feb 1963.
