PAF FirePower Demo 2019

May be true in Pakistan but for US (audience) F-15 is the real bad boy and F-22s are the real eye catcher.

People complain about PTV camera/video quality. I think biggest issue is training and experience. Technology has evolved. PTV needs to send their employees to some foreign school to learn basics.
And you will have your utter disappointment in first 50 seconds.

Earlier today, in office, I tried to watch it but soon I realized they merely captured just few impact shots ... i left it.

EnjoY!
even commentary is pathetic. do adad mirage, do adad bomb, do adad JFT. aik adad f sola and aik darjan bomb

. .
i guess it was PTV who as usual ruined the show with their utter incompetence of camera work, believe me if they give same job to some youtube vloger he will do it better than this, i wonder if PTV management has ever saw these videos themselves and compared it with other countries videos shoot outs of similar events

  • Wednesday’s event was the latest in a series of two dozen air competition and firepower demonstrations since 1949
  • Changing regional dynamics require greater operational preparedness, says the air chief
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on Wednesday demonstrated the lethal firing capability and air maneuverability of its fighter jets at the Sonmiani training area, a coastal town in the country’s southeastern Balochistan province located about 145 kilometers from its southern port city of Karachi.

The last “PAF Inter Squadron Armament Competition and Significance of Firepower Demonstration” was held in 2015, according to a PAF deputy spokesperson who also informed that the activity was usually arranged after a gap of “two to four years.”

Wednesday’s event was the latest in a series of about two dozen similar exercises carried out by the service since 1949, said the air force officer.
According to an official handout, “The firepower demonstration started with a low-level sonic boom by two Mirages flying over the range at supersonic speed. It was followed by formation flypast of frontline PAF fighter aircraft, including F-16 Block 52, F-16, JF-17 Thunder, Mirage, F-7PG, and F-7P aircraft. Immediately afterward, PAF’s ‘Eyes in the Skies’ SAAB-Erieye”, an Airborne Early Warning and Control System, “and Karakoram Eagle aircraft flew past the venue, dispensing flares.”

“Our forces have also demonstrated their resolve and capability against any aggression and the armed forces stood in complete synergy during the two-decade-long war on terrorism,” said President Dr. Arif Alvi who was the chief guest at the demonstration.
He added: “Pakistan wishes to maintain peaceful relations with other nations, especially our neighbors. Yet, we are not oblivious to safeguarding our national interests and sovereignty and the entire world witnessed our response to India’s violation of Pakistan’s air space in February 2019, when PAF once again proved its mettle in the air battle over Kashmir and re-established deterrence.

Chief of the Air Staff Mujahid Anwar Khan, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat and other high ranking civil and defense officials witnessed the demonstration.
PAF pilots displayed their professional acumen by destroying the given targets with pinpoint accuracy. Pakistan’s indigenously produced JF-17 Thunder also displayed some breathtaking aerobatic maneuvers.
After its exit from the scene, PAF aerobatics team “Sherdils” appeared on the horizon and mesmerized the audience with the stunning aerial performance.
Another important activity of the event was a fiery presentation by the Special Services Wing commandos wherein they successfully neutralized terrorists in a mock exercise.
“This demonstration was a testimony of the hard-hitting punch of the PAF and a loud and clear message to the enemies of our country that PAF is a force to reckon with,” the air force said in its statement.
Speaking at the venue, the air chief said: “The changing dynamics in the region call for greater focus on operational preparedness. Today’s Firepower Demo is a sequel to our consistent efforts for war readiness.”

No al-battar ?? H2/h4 or any other new weapons RAAD ? Last one had h2 launched and demo

Jf now can carry max 3 pk84 based lgb but would need to shed its drop tanks while f-16 can carry it with tanks

Let’s see if it changes in block 3 and outer Hp are strengthen to Carry up to pk-84 based I think currently can go up to pk83 based lgb or REK

The above are now all Made in Pakistan.

. . . . .
These two look different. The front end is definitely different. The picture I posted was probably the IREK and the one on display is the FT-6.

Different kind of fuse in the front that’s it

. .
Not just claimed, but proven, and in service.

So what is ALbattar ? Pk8x with US kit or pk8x with pak license kit or pk8x with local developed laser kit ?

Or just local name for gbu-12 like Israeli use local name for weapon system like f-16 and f-15 are assigned local names

This is a complete local development by AWC. They have adopted the legacy GBU12, but completely absorbed, local electronics, local power source, local detectors. It is an impressive feat of reverse engineering, and very important milestone on the road to indigenous PGMs, hybrid LGB/ Sat guided weapons etc. To do the flight control, you have to complete re-evaluate the system aerodynamics, starting with scratch. So while it looks like a GBU-12, its nothing like it, and performs twice better. It is also integrated with ground and air designators. I hope this clarifies your question.

The Mk 8X series is already indigenized in country, with more than 4 vendors producing the bombs and its accessories.
