PAF chief meets Saudi counterpart, discusses training matters

ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, on Tuesday met Lieutenant General Mohammed bin Ahmed Alshaa’lan, Commander Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) at Royal Saudi Air Operations Center, Riyadh.


On his arrival, the Air Chief was received by Lieutenant General Mohammed bin Ahmed Alshaa’lan, Commander RSAF, PAF Spokeman here stated.

The Air Chief called on Commander of RSAF in his office.

Both the dignitaries remained together for some time and discussed matters of professional and mutual interest.

Air Chief expressed satisfaction on the incessant mutual cooperation between two air forces and offered all training facilities to RSAF.

He also shared the PAF experience of fighting against extremist elements in the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb. Commander RSAF appreciated high standards of professionalism being set by Pakistan Air Force and highlighted the need of learning from each other’s experience.

The Air Chief also visited King Faisal Air Academy and met the PAF instructors and ground crew of Mushshak Aircraft who are serving in Saudi Arabia on deputation.

He lauded the PAF contingent for theirvaluable services and advised them to work as the ambassadors of Pakistan in brotherly country.

The Air Chief is on an official visit to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the invitation of RSAF. –APP

Yes because the senior commander of all forces I think is the minister of defense who is currently Mohammed bin Salman.
Defense ministers are usually civilian men but chief are mostly from there respective command..

Chief is not civilian. Saudi follow Kingship, therefore the commander is always a Prince in line to succession. Not a democratic system like ours. They think of their Royal Blood line as pure.
