Last few days in light of the PAK FA first flight a lot of posts/DISCUSSIONS have taken place regarding the Chinease answer to PAK FA and indeed

Pakistans answer to PAK FA if as widley publicised IAF takes delivery of the first FGFA fighter around 2017-2020.

Most posters have suggested that Pakistans answer is JXX/J14 and informed everyone thru links that the chinease JXX fifth generation programme is alive and kicking.

What I cannot find anywhere is the genuine link which suggests this is a sinopak project and that Pakistan is or has been invited to participate in the JXX. programme IN THE SAME WAY THAT INDIA IS INVESTING $ BILLIONS in the PAK FA

is there a partnership between China & Pakistan ???

Or are we assuming that PAF will just buy it off china When available ??

If its just buyer/ seller relationship will PAF have to await many years for their deliveries ie like the J10 deal ???

If there is a partnership Wat $$$ are pakistan investing in its development bearing in mind india,s commitment is over $5 billion for a mere 25% stake at best with Russia.

Pakistan does not have billions of dollars that it can pure in Chinese 5th generation fighter R&D nor China is broke that they need a "financial" partner. Russia requires $$ so they simply asked india to flow in some money for R&D and thus they earned the right to be called "partner".
Pakistan will simply pay for the aircraft that they buy possibly with TOT like in case with FC-20 JF-17 ZDK-03.

FC20 has not come with TOT as far as the medi is concerned.

What TOT are you referring too Growler... with J10 ???///

A 5TH generation fighter even from China & Russia will cost upwards of $75million each.

JSF is costing over $125million each

F22 even at $250million is not avialable to anybody

MAYBE THE CHINEASE will say no JXX for export like USA with F22

Since PAK-FA, has made its maiden flight, your are having extreme cramps of excitement in your belly, and that's why you are starting stupid threads which are getting closed by the Administration. Now your excitement is totally understandable for us, but please avoid posting threads that are totally based on speculations. Almost every buddy on forum is as much educated and informed on JXX and PAK-FA as yourself.

Hell no buddy even knows at what stage in development is JF-17(which is now in production in PAC,i.e at home), its radar, Avionics specifications, Armament, nothing is known to the public, except the concerned authorities. These are matters of national security and wont be available to common masses, forget about getting some thing real important regarding FC-20, or JXX. The maximum you will get will be speculations and same brain farts, nothing better then that.

So please take a chill pill and relax while believing in that you guys are doing good in Air arms sector, but we are not sleeping and taking effective steps to counter your each and every move, and wont let any stone unturned to safeguard our sovereignty and National security, rest assured.

adios

j 10 is widely renouned as j 10b looooooool..... when the chinese wont allow us to even get j 10 until the orders of 500 j10 are not compleated how the hell are they going to give you there new fighter j 10b ??????? i mean have they takin stupied pills???? and TOT yeh not unless we order 150 jets then we get TOT

can you walk on a straight line with your finger pointing on your nose? I hope you are not drunk. I mean who told you PAF has to wait until china meet its 500 J-10 mark? J-10B is a export model and PAF will be called FC-20 with western systems.

yeh ok there ... j10b is totally different ... its compaired to f 16 block60... plus hehehe.. fc 20 is for pakistan but its j 10 not j10b .... we will incorporate exported aveionics for the j 10....... j 10b in my respect will be all that PAF will need IRST AESA DSI intake CFT all the goodies... i mean how can you say that j 10b will be transformed and get western systems when it is already so legit?
regards sir.

If the need arises , China can just send us the crafts on short notice

I mean its a pretty done deal that there will be mutual cooperation

Just like Tiwan gets 6 billion dollar air , China can give aid to Iran or Pakistan easily too

Russia also gave 2 billion dollar worth of arms deal to Libya so its a global game -

If China can give us 36 J10 , to start off may be we can get 100 more units close to 2018. Which will be quite suffient for our need

lol your saying it as if a fighter plane is something like driveing a car and for driveing a car you need training... j0-10 to my knowing is not even tested by paksitani pilots yet soo in the next 5 years we get into a war (which is most possible) we arnt going to get any j 10 but from the arab states we can get as much as 24 f-16 which we are know to mastered.....

You are in dire need to get your facts straight as PAF pilots have test flied J-10s back in 2006-07 more than one times and the news was even published. I will find the link for you. Regarding the FC-20 saga, you do not have to be a rocket scientist to understand that Chinese were pretty much satisfied with the J-10a. It is the PAF that keeps them pushing every now and then as they have a habit to innovate Chinese platform. FC-20 is not only a radically improved version of the original J-10a but is also a test bed for Chengdu's very own next generation fighter aircraft, The J-XX

$20B is a huge deal for Russia, but it's nothing for China. Just about 1% of their reserves.

I don't think they are looking for donations to run their J-XX program. The expectation is that they would make these jets available to Pakistan when they are ready to be inducted. China has a long history of rushing supplies to Pakistan when necessary. I don't see why this would be any different if a formal request for accelerated delivery was initiated by Pakistan.

Personally, I don't think it will be necessary...

please find link.... j 10b platform for jxx? take your mouth off the hash pipe :D
STEATH FIGHTERS ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT than 4.5 generation fighter . u baisally have to make from scratch .... and i truly think that pakistan dose not push china to make FAC"S ...

@Zagahaga

It even embarrassing for me to reply to a novice like you who does not know anything about recent developments in this region. Just google what i have stated and you will find plenty of evidence on what i said. Enough said!
I cant believe i have to post the same link again for you to study

Most Of The F-22ski Flies
January 31, 2010: The latest Russian fighter design, the T-50, made its first flight on January 29th. Also called PAK FA (Prospective Aviation System of Frontline Aviation), or T-50, it’s a radical development of the Su-27/30/35 series of aircraft. The 47 minute test flight was done without the new engines designed for the T-50. Russia has always had problems with high performance jet engines, and those woes continue.

"Evolving" an aircraft design, in this case, the Su-27, is a Russian custom. New models of a base design are given new names. The U.S. also does this, but keeps the original name. The Russian mods are often much more extensive, extending to the fuselage and basic architecture of the aircraft.

The T-50 is incorrectly touted as a Russian answer to the American F-22. It isn't. But the T-50 contains more features that Russia hopes will make the T-50 (earlier referred to as the Su-47) more competitive against the new American fighters (F-22 and F-35, which are wholly new, and much more expensive, designs). Russia wants to export the new fighter, while the U.S. won't (yet) export the F-22. When the T-50 project went dormant for years, it was believed the Su-35 or Su-37 would be pimped out (a whole lot) to be the official F-22 competitor. But the T-50 hasn't died, not yet anyway. So the Su-35 and Su-37 will continue as advanced models of the Su-27, and not be burdened with competing with the F-22 in the marketplace.

Last year, the Russian Air Force bought 48 Su-35 jet fighters from Sukhoi, to be delivered within six years. Aside from the T-50, the Su-35 is the most advanced of these Su-27 designs. A year ago, one of the two F-35 prototypes crashed on takeoff. The cause was a problem with one of the two engines. A third prototype is under construction. Russia had hoped to have the destroyed prototype fly over the May Day parade in Moscow on May 1st. The crash was really bad PR, since one of the consistent shortcomings of Russian warplanes has been the unreliable engines. But the project is moving forward, and Russia expects to export over 160 Su-35s in the next five years, and eventually have more Su-35s in service than the U.S. has F-22s. But the more advanced T-50 is being pushed to, if not leapfrog the F-22, at least stay in the race.

The Su-35 is a 34 ton fighter that is more maneuverable than the original, 33 ton, Su-27, and has much better electronics. It can cruise at above the speed of sound. It also costs at least fifty percent more than the Su-27. That would be some $60 million (for a barebones model), about what a top-of-the-line F-16 costs. The Su-27 was originally developed to match the F-15, which is larger than the single engine F-16. The larger size of the Su-27/30, allows designers to do a lot more with it in terms of modifications and enhancements.

The Su-35 is to have some stealth capabilities (or at least be less detectable to most fighter aircraft radars). Russia is promising a fighter with a life of 6,000 flight hours, and engines good for 4,000 hours. Russia promises world-class avionics, plus a very pilot-friendly cockpit. The use of many thrusters and fly-by-wire will produce an aircraft even more maneuverable than earlier Su-30s (which have been extremely agile).

Many of the advanced features promised for the Su-35, are now earmarked for the T-50. The T-50 began development eight years ago, when the Su-47 design was selected as the successor to the Su-27/30 series, as well as the MiG-29. The MiG version of the T-50 lost the competition, but will contribute some ideas. The new aircraft is not meant to be a direct rival for the F-22, because the Russian aircraft is not nearly as stealthy. The 37 ton T-50 will carry up to eight tons of munitions, hanging from 12 hard points. This reduces stealthiness, which the F-22 and F-35 get around by using an internal bay for bombs and missiles. But if the maneuverability and advanced electronics of the proposed T-50 live up to the promises, the aircraft would be more than a match for every fighter out there except the F-22. If such an T-50 was sold for under $100 million each, there would be a lot of buyers. India has already agreed to invest several billion dollars into T-50 development, and will buy many of the aircraft if the design is successful. But that depends a lot on Russian military engine and avionics developers getting their mojo back. That is not a sure thing, not matter how much Russian politicians and air force generals want it to be so.
