Overseas Pakistanis Voting

I didn't even know overseas voting registration process had been authorised and rolled out.

I requested to Mod long time ago make sticky for it. But as usual ...suggestion ignored.

There is complication . Those who have NICOP they have to have machine read passport. Here is the issue, if you have NICOP then why need a passport. If someone has British passport and NICOP , then why he must have passport too..... it makes no sense . To register , we have to have passport too.

I have both NICOP and Pakistani passport and it didn't let me register.

I have by-elections in my area and have recently turned 18 (less than a month ago) and have not yet been placed on ECPs voting list yet, ECP updates their records once a year and the time has not come in my constituency to be updated. I should have been added automatically. I have a machine readable passport and an up to date NICOP. Looks like I won't be voting in these by-elections.

ECP should make it easier to contact them through an online help line until the by-elections.

You may not have by-elections in your area. The registration is for overseas Pakistanis, who have by-elections in their constituency only.

Check if your constituency is registered for Oct election. But you shouldn't have problem .

Dr. Arif Alvi is from my constituency, he would have vacated his MNA seat to become president, so pretty sure there are going to be by-elections in my constituency.
