Well Quran does not restrict you to only trade in gold and silver and Islam is not a restrictive religion also. It is the most dynamic, tolerant and accommodative religion. It had to be as it is the code of ethics for centuries to come. Nevertheless, it does talk of balance and certainly proposed the best economic system, if we are able to understand it in its true spirit. Unfortunately, we twist Islam to serve our vested interest.
