Well, the NSG waiver is far more critical to nuclear tech/fuel trade than NSG membership.

The formal membership has become more of a prestige issue than practical benefit - and IMO India spends too much time and diplomatic capital chasing that.

Similarly Pakistan spends too much diplomatic capital opposing that - and also pursuing its own NSG membership. Even by some compromise if Pakistan did obtain membership it would be meaningless without a similar waiver. And that certainly cannot happen by a Chinese veto.

As for China - well they have nothing to lose by India's entry into NSG - they abstained from the NSG Waiver in 2008 anyway. No doubt they are presently building up a tremendous reserve of diplomatic capital in Pakistan by these blocking moves (along with Masood). But it's quite possible a day will come when they will also view this strategy as not worth it.

Thats a waiver for India, where does it humiliates China ?? China infact is doing the same with Pakistan. Pakistan is getting Nuclear Plants, Nuclear Fuel, Nuclear technology etc etc etc. Waiver ?? China doesnt care. Doing all the business it can without any waiver

you have only limited number of nuclear plant that from China only 2 plans , while India get unlimited from any country... see the difference.

We are getting what we can digest for now, and I count 6 Nuclear Plants given by China. 4 at Chasma and 2 at Karachi.

Once we are done with these 2 plants you will see more plant and more Chinese fuel. We dont even have to use our Uranium on energy projects, keeping it only for nukes
