Our tool kit to tackle terror not restricted, India tells Pakistan

. .
Then plz wait till the time we elect a brahmin PM. :P

Brahmins are behind Modi, why talk to slave? Pakistan should only deal with brahmins who actually control India since thousands of years and have enslaved natives.

.
Unlikely to mean much, there is no big trigger. The ceasefire violations need a talking about which is what has happened here. No point for PM Modi to leave his flanks exposed to criticism. The main point of interest however is the Foreign Secretaries meeting. That is still on. I think the more important question is whether Nawaz Sharif has complete control or have Pakistan's internal issues started to weigh on him. That is what is being watched. If the conclusion is that he may be a bit of a lame duck, then you are likely to see non-verbal hardening of stance along with the rhetoric. Till then, this is just some general rhetoric. The FS meeting will give a more clearer picture to Indian analysts on NS's position.

You couldn't be more wrong.

Modi is the last person in India to make such loose statement. He measures his words carefully and uses them Judiciously.

"our toolkit is NOT limited " is clearly a euphemism for "other non conventional means" to end this proxy war.

It is clearly a veiled warning to the Pakistan govt. about abrogating the Indus Water Treaty if this proxy war continues.

The words are muffled in diplomatic speak to reach its targeted audience which is the military establishment in pakistan, and not alarm the general public. It does not get any clearer than this.

Nawaz Sharif control is a moot question. Everybody knows he has no control. He is just a public face, not the real power wielder so No one in India expects anything substantive except...... talk..... talk... talk.....the way it has always been with pakistan.

Modi is a man of action. The day he was voted to power, India's tolerance for pakistani tantrums just went down several notches. Do you doubt that ?

And the brain behind RSS are brahmins/Rajputs and Baniya castes from UP, Bihar and south india (they always put low caste people in front line, modi is an RSS dummy). Surprisingly the brahmins/Rajputs/khatris from north western indian states have little interest in the crappy RSS+BJP family.

I have little doubt that there are people in position of power who have an extensive "toolkit" and will be willing to use it if needed. However it is my opinion, that these comments, because of the timing, are less likely to indicate anything beyond what is already know. There is a scheduled FS meeting on August 28 which is happening after a very long gap. In the face of some domestic unease about the repeated ceasefire violations and a perceived mellowing down on Modi previous comments on Pakistan, these comments are more likely than not be for domestic consumption(the Pakistanis know the GoI's position anyways). Modi's stance on Pakistan seems to be far more nuanced than what people thought before. It won't be till some time has passed for us to actually figure out what his ideas are. Suffices to say that there is a lot more to the India-Pakistan relationship under Modi than mere spouting of rhetoric. While Modi will be a lot more hardline if there is a serious attack, the comments now when that is not the case, is unlikely to be of that wavelength.

I disagree with abrogation of IWT etc. That is at a level way, way high from the present situation. We can of course wait & see which one of us is right on this score.

"With reference to news reports attributed to Prime Minister Modi repeating the baseless rhetoric against Pakistan regarding terrorism, the spokesperson recalled that Pakistan has consistently condemned terrorism, in all its forms and manifestations," the Pakistan government said in a statement, adding that the Indian accusations made "at the highest political level" were most unfortunate.
Really? So the LeT, JeM etc are all figments of India's and the world's imagination?

Oh yeah! These yahoos are being used by the Establishment only for baby sitting. So all this talk of terror against India is total and absolute nonsense. There's no such thing happening. Pakistan has never interfered in Kashmir. What's happening is that the terrorists are all local Kashmiri 'freedom fighters'.

Nothing to see here, Yindoos! Shit up move on.

They want to get our attention because we are not taking them seriously now!! That's true!!

I am willing to bet you are wrong.

You got one thing right, timing it EVERYTHING. Which is why this 'statement' came just before the FS meet on 28 Aug. It is to let them know in advance what our intentions are and allow them time to prepare in advance and come prepared with some solid offers.

If you think Modi govt. is going to go about this the way Indian has always done (even under Vajpayee), you would be mistaken.

Modi is in a class of his own. (maybe lal bahadur shastri)

Modi basic mentality is that of a No Nonsense Baniya. He will cut through the diplomatic BS that has been the norm in India and will come straight to the point. Kind of like China.

If you had followed Modi in Gujarat you would have know he NEVER makes loose talk for domestic consumption. You are still blinded by the congress style of doing business. I repeat, Modi is in a different class of his own. I just hope pakistani establishment is smarter than that to realize the change when they see it.

. .
Right now, I'm willing to let Modi's comments simply be for domestic consumption. If he does something stupid, and acts against Pakistan, then we'll really know if he wants peace or war with Pakistan.
He wants peace. But your PA is least interested. They continue with the proxy war which they've waged against India since decades.

They have been using these terrorists as cannon fodder to keep Kashmir on the boil as the PA can't embark on a direct confrontation with the Indian Army. This is a pretty cost effective strategy that doesn't hurt the PA.

What better way for revenge for the 1971 drubbing? We need to learn this strategy of proxy war from the PA/ISI. Our RAW seems to be in sleep mode at present. They need to wake up instead of just bellyaching. After all, two can play the proxy game, right?

We'll see. Give me a heads up when the IWT is abrogated.

Foreign policy is not the same as domestic policies. Every PM has a domestic constituency that he must address. I don't agree that there was some message to the Pakistanis here. A phone call by someone senior could do a far better job of that. As far as being blinded etc...., we will see. I do not consider these comments as being anything of high significance. Not at this point in time.

Actually unlike our former PM including Vajpayee used a diplomatic way and sometimes made comments for domestic consumption ,Narendra Modi is a man of action.

Till now he dont tell anything negative about Pakistan.
But yesterday he broke it because he meant business.
Look at the response of our MEA spokesperson we dont see any comments like this from him earlier.Look at the 'tool kit'
comparison.
He made this comments probably after a consultation with our NSA.Tool kits means in our area weapons used by quotational gangs is also called tools. So he meant about another counter proxy I am sure.
Nawaz Sharif cant do anything in this case.
