When I was in college in the US, Hussain Haqqani was a research fellow based in Washington, post his "departure" from Pakistan. He undertook a speaking tour of a few US universities and talked about Pakistan viz international relations and internal politics. He went to great lengths to convince the audience that Pakistan had engaged in all sorts of violations of international law, from MTCR to God knows what. This was a Pakistani outside Pakistan working *hard* to convince the world to censure and punish his own country. I simply walked out in disgust...
Hussain Haqqani is a traitor to Pakistan. Has been for a long time. To be honest, I am not sure how the powers that be in Pakistan actually tolerate this unmentionably f1lthy sw1ne. He has obviously had run ins with the Army in the past on visa issues and other such things, but whoever has him on their payroll are obviously doing a good job protecting him.
Such men are the scum of the earth. Their propensity to collude and allow foreign powers to exploit their own people in large part explains the overall misery of the human condition; where billions are exploited and sold into slavery to fatten the hundreds of thousands.
Should he be called back? Of course. Should he be tried? Of course. Should he be punished for treason? Of course.
They say Allah ki rassi lambi hoti hay, let's see how lambi the rassi is in Haqqani's case. I can tell you, like most patriotic Pakistanis, I send nothing but laanats and bad-duas his way.
